    Christopher Cox was the worst head of the SEC ever. They literally did nothing while he was in charge and then the economy went into free fall. I think most of the staff spent their time watching porn.

      That’s a ridiculous and naive oversimplification of a pretty complex situation. They didn’t spend ALL their time watching porn. They sometimes took some time to organize and curate their porn collections too, and sometimes they even put their clothes back on long enough to disregard tips concerning Bernie Madoff, who probably wasn’t doing anything wrong anyway...

      This may seem negligent or even unethical, but that’s only because it is. They were continuing a proud bipartisan tradition of neutering regulatory agencies and relying on faith alone to hold together the financial sector (even though this has never, ever worked for more than 10 years max).

    Btw, currently Christie is on stage and spewing his personal rant about crooked Hillary and her litany of lies.. When will these guys actually reveal something substantial regarding policy from Trump’s campaign? It’s fucking amazing that entire party can be so hypocritical. I'm dumbfounded.

    Sorry for putting this on an unrelated thread, but I’m by myself and needed to rant.
