      Exactly.

I’ve seen people posit that this was evidence of sabotage. Nonsense. If the plagiarism didn’t happen, then perhaps MSNBC would be talking about Giuliani’s batshittery, or Trump vs. Kasich, or the hateful wingnut garbage in their platform, or the delegate revolt, or...etc etc ad infinitum. If anything, the plagiarism helps him, because most people don’t give a flying fuck about it. (Although they should.)

This is the same lady who claims to speak five languages including “Austrian.” I’d be amazed if she finished grade school.

I speak German fluently, and there are times I would classify Austrian as its own language. ;)

This is just so odd.... No one who has ever considered Melania for even a moment thinks she is Eleanor Roosevelt, or even Pat Nixon. No one is expecting her to bake pies, or make foreign policy speeches, or substitute for Trump at official events. Everyone who has ever considered her as a potential politician’s wife understands who she is, what she is, and what she can do in the context of a campaign.

Why lie about her background? Why even bother? Insecurity on The Donald’s part? A frantic last-minute attempt by his handlers to “normalize him” as a candidate?

    Whatwhat?!

That’s probably the most frustrating thing of his entire campaign. His complete inability to competently handle the absolutely most mundane and simplest of tasks. Just reword that shit “studied architecture.” Boom fixed. Leaves the impression she graduated without having to flat out lie. It's incredible.

Obama was smart enough to hire a speechwriter, then he could place the blame on the writer. These parking lot grifters are too stupid to even keep a buffer between themselves and their fuckups.

Maybe she went to internet school? Do they have internet in Latveria? I know it says Slovenia, but based on standard Trump procedure, I assume that is incorrect.

It’s especially odd considering it would have been all too easy for the Trump campaign to touch only vaguely on Melania’s education experience.

“Vaguely Touching On An Educational Experience” was Trump University’s slogan, I believe.

Considering how the Republican Party hates intellectuals, one would think a college drop out would be considered more desirable.

Especially one who is a woman.

Yeah, especially a woman married to Donald Trump in particular. He’s spoken disparagingly of women who are successful outside their marriages:

But in 1994, Trump seems to have created a “woman problem” for himself. In an interview with ABC’s Primetime Live, recently resurfaced by The New York Daily News, he laid out how he felt about women in the workplace—particularly women to whom he is married—and the sadness he feels once his female protégées reach their own level of success.

“I think that putting a wife to work is a very dangerous thing,” he said at the time, offering up what he called an “educational lesson” to viewers. It was especially treacherous for him in his first marriage, when he appointed Ivana to run his casino in Atlantic City. What the infamously loudmouthed man could not stand was overhearing her on a business call with someone, raising her voice. “I’d say, ‘I really don’t want my wife shouting like that. I really don’t want that,’” he said. “The softness disappeared. . . . She became an executive, not a wife.”

In practice, this would mean his wife would shirk her womanly duties in the home in order to perform her business obligations at the office, and that was a consequence the Donald could not stomach. “I don’t want to sound too much like a chauvinist, but when I come home and dinner’s not ready, I go through the roof.”
