I want a reporter to ask Melania or Donald if she overstayed her visa. Because I honestly do not see any way that she was in status when they started dating or got married.

Did they visit Slovenia before or after they were married? Did they ever travel outside the US until after they were married? Because if she didn’t travel outside the US until after, you can bet good money that she had overstayed her visa.

Many, many people of the quoted 12 million undocumented immigrants are in that category. They entered on a visa and then overstayed. These are some of the people Donald Trump is disparaging when he talks about building a wall to keep out rapists and murderers. They were people who would have been let through that hypothetical wall in the first place. Which just goes to show what a dumbass idea it is, even if you agree with the racism part of it.
