    Chris Hayes just asked Charles Peirce what it meant that the former “future stars” of the GOP weren’t here, and he answered that he thought 2012 would be the last GOP convention run by old white people...

    ...At which point Rep. Steve King chimed in with:

    “what I want to know is, of these sub-groups you keep talking about us needing, who has contributed more to civilization than us?”

    Chris Hayes, after picking up his jaw, retorted:

    “THAN WHITE PEOPLE?!”

    And a black woman (I’m not sure of her name) almost exploded and started naming off civilizations and large areas of science that were created by NOT-White people.

    It was... Awkward. Fucking GOP man.
