we’ve already seen it. Nobody attacked him much the whole primary. Because they were afraid of the base.

Lesley Stahl threw mostly soft-balls at him and still he managed to come off as the most foul solipsistic thing to ever run for political office (and just think of the competition there). Anyone willing to vote for that putrid abomination ought to be forced to move to Florida (if they’re not already there)

But Florida is probably the most important of the swing states and you'd be populating it with people who would vote for him. Just send them all to Texas where it wouldn't make a difference.

No, no, Texas is trending blue. It won’t happen this election, but probably within a decade. Send all the Trump supporters to like, Alabama or Montana. Nobody’s going to mind that.

I, I, what the hell is going on here?! Why is Pence staring at him like that? How come nobody came up with anything better than “I don’t care, that was a long time ago” about Pence’s Iraq vote?

Just when you think it can’t get any more bizarre.

Better yet, when Trump broke in and gave Pence permission to tell the truth. Then at one point Pence talked about how Donald likes people with candor.

If Trump valued people like that, then why would he have to give permission for someone ‘he respects’ permission to tell the truth.

The face of a man whose godawful boss gave him an incredible and completely underserved opportunity.

Absolute loathing of his boss, absolute loathing of himself, still hopeful he comes out on top at the end of this shitstorm.

Sorry Pence, all signs point to No.

I am honestly surprised they allowed that to air. An unmitigated disaster for them and fantastic viewing for everyone else.

Stahl would ask Pence a question and Trump would interject and say ‘it is okay for you to tell the truth’ not in a joking way more in a ‘i own you, and everything you do’ kind of way. Pence did not even answer anything outside of talking points, walking talking (when allowed) puppet.

Trump kept on interrupting both Stahl and Pence. These next few months are going to be a train wreak.

If I had a vote, and the other ticket consisted of any two randomly-chosen Ferengi, I’d pick them over Trumppence. At least you know, sort of, where you are with those guys.

I mean you’d presumably know where you were with Pence too — presumably a dark, dark place. But if, God forbid, Trump were to win, I’m guessing Pence would not be to Trump as Cheney was to Bush.

Partly because journalism is now about good TV not the facts, and partly because Trump had mastered the art of obfuscation overload that once you catch him in a lie he's already moved shamelessly onto the next one.
