I swear if Donald Trump announces Chris Christie as his running mate my life will be complete. That would make for the most hilarious general election campaign of all time.

And on the practical side of things, it wouldn’t help him at all either for general election purposes. Christie pivoted too hard to the right during the primary’s to appeal to “moderates” and he rolled over so quickly for Trump that most people view him as a spineless and opportunistic husk of a man. Christie as a VP does nothing for Trump...which is why I hope Trump picks him.

    More Benghazi? Really?

I have yet to hear from Trey Gowdy or anyone else what, exactly, they wanted her to do that night that would have made any difference whatsoever. I can understand investigating the incident overall to see what can be done to try to prevent something like that from happening again. I can even kinda understand the questions about what information was told to people after the fact (by that I mean that considering the GOP position that the Obama administration is soft on terror because he doesn’t use the specific words they want him to, I can understand them trying to exploit the incident) but if you look at the amount oof time, effort and vitriol spent looking specifically at Hillary’s role in this one can only conclude that they believe she went to Libya clad in a camouflage pantsuit and shot the guys herself!

FFS, neither the military nor the CIA are under the direction of the State Department and they want to totally ignore the fact that part of the reason things were not as secure as they would have liked was because of budgetary limitations. And it’s the Secretary of State that makes budgets, right guys?

The GOP logo should be changed to a drawing of Trey Gowdy and Jason Chaffez beating a dead horse.

      +1000 for your third paragraph.

I think we may be dealing with one of those Republicans-operate-outisde-of-a-”fact-based paradigm” thingies here.

Why don’t they just put on their tinfoil hats and get it over with?

This makes me feel a whole lot better about celebrating the fact that Tebow was a bust at NFL QB. And, although I like the UFC, I never cared much for Dana White(that bastard did just cash-in, though). Looking forward to the RNC being the shit show we all think it will be.

What’re the odds Tebow brings up the “I was almost aborted’ story? Or maybe he’ll just laugh at Trump for spending $12 grand on an autographed helmet he could get for free now.

    A galaxy of cunts.

It would be so easy for Warren (or, indeed anyone with a vaguely significant media profile) to derail Trump’s appearance at the conference by bringing up some issue from his past. Trump is guaranteed to go off-piste to address the sleight, and then we’re all winners.

They’re really reaching with the Bill Clinton stuff. Anyone who would conceivably be swayed by what Hillary Clinton’s husband did while he was in office would likely be equally bothered by the presentation of a spouse’s behavior as symbolic of the other half.
