    I really don’t get what advantage CNN thought they were going to have by hiring him. It has to have come from the corporate office and not the newsroom, b/c I’m willing to bet no one in that newsroom thought he’d be helpful or insightful in any way that would justify a salary. What, they just wanted a talking head to substitute for the Trump campaign? There are plenty of such people who could do (and have done) that job, but there’s no need to put them on staff. What’s so special about Lewandowski? Someone’s an idiot if they thought a CNN gig would get him to open up for real about what it’s like to see the unfettered Trump.

      They thought people would say “CNN is hiring that guy? I have to tune in to see what he’s gonna dish out.” Because TV executives are that cynical and all they care about is eyes on the channel.

      It’s not about access to Trumpenfraud; it’s about giving his spokesfluffer an international platform to spew his boss’s bullshit unchallenged, and PAYING for the fucking ‘privilege,’ apparently.

    Now that I think about it, on the air Corey's sounded pretty supportive of the campaign that fired him.

      Did you see his ‘privileged’ appearance on CNN the day after getting publicly spanked by Herr Trumpenfuhrer?

      The MOST obsequious toadying EVER captured on television;

      I tend to believe that you’re right, but moreso in that CNN hiring Lewandowski took the spotlight away from the absolute monster that replaced him in Paul Manafort.

    Monica Lewinski should marry Cory so her name would be Monica Lewinski-Lewandowski. Although I like Monica Lewinski so she probably shouldn’t marry that tool. The name is fun to say though and nothing about this election is fun anymore.

    For the lawyers out there: is there any FEC or campaign law that prohibits a Presidential campaign from paying media outlets for positive media coverage?

    Eg. Could Donald Trump directly pay Megyn Kelly to talk about him positively on air?

      Hey, maybe it was poorly stated, but it was God’s Honest Truth. If those neighborhoods had been populated with light-skinned folks, they would have been evacuated.

      I’m not even approaching a Wolf Blitzer fan, but the devastation and inhumanity and gross, gross, abominable negligence on display during those days could have driven anyone to misspeak themselves.

    So he can collect dual income? I’m surprised Trump’s campaign wouldn’t have included a clause that if he picks up new employment, the amount of his severance is reduced proportionately to his new income. I mean I don’t know, it’s what people are telling me, lots of people, and I guess I’m not surprised because I’m sure this is all very, very, very well orchestrated and deliberate. Believe me.

      I also thought severance was normally paid as a lump sum, not a continuing salary. But I guess maybe the Trump campaign doesn’t have the cash on hand to do that.

      This would matter, I guess, if CNN and all cable news weren’t such ridiculous horrible bullshit anyway. Its not like Lewandowski has an ounce of credibility, so I guess who cares?

      I have stopped watching TV news entirely and consume all my news via sources like the New York Times and BBC websites and I am much happier for it- and feel much more informed.

      I read the NYT on the weekend and keep NPR on during the daytime. It’s a great radio station and quite entertaining. The last thing I want to do is go back to TV news.
