    Even though at this point I would not be surprised. BLM has been protesting for years now and cops still murder unarmed black people every day. It just keeps happening. It’s not slowing down, nothing is changing, cops just keep shooting people. Sooner or later someone is going to decide that they’ve had enough, and the only way to respond to police violence is to start shooting back. Which is, of course, the quickest way to make sure every future BLM protest is met by SWAT cops with ARs and itchy trigger fingers.

    Oh, well. Hopefully it’s just your run of the mill, “like a hurricane or tornado” routine crazy white guy.

    This comment thread is a microcosm of everything that is wrong with the current progressive movement.

    Jesus christ - at least 6 cops gravely injured, while trying to create a shield between the protestors and the gunman. The headline refuses to label the rally as a BLM rally. Shooter is a black man in cammo/tactical gear who is targeting cops.

    And the commentairate here is “its the cops fault” - ‘violence begets violence’ - ‘[insert snarky retort]’.

    Fuck every single one of you. Grab a mirror and look in it - you are a big fucking part of the problem with this country. Your opinion will never make you a good person - learn that.

      Oh just fuck off. Violent, gun-toting America is your invention, not ours. Very few commenters here are saying this is deserved payback. Most of us are lamenting that violence only begets more violence and that this action by one or a few individuals is going to set back real progress toward improving police/citizen relations. It’s going to stop it cold, as a matter of fact. That’s a terrible thing, but something tells me you’re actually happy about this, and you can’t wait for the race war to start so you can get in some shootin’ time of your own.

    I’m from Dallas, and this is horrifying.

    I can’t help but feel like the trigger happy, paranoid police are never punished, but the decent ones who try hard and show up every day are the ones who take all the heat. They’re underpaid, understaffed and under appreciated, and now some are dead.

      Surely to Christ you know not every cop makes anywhere near that much money (or lives in an area with that high a standard of living).

      According to many conservatives, teachers are vastly overpaid with chests full of gold and diamonds, and upon retirement they are given millions of dollars of taxpayers’ money every day for the rest of time. And they’re not even good at their jobs!
