Unfortunately, pointing this out gets Clinton no closer to winning the election.

You’re right. Everyone who would be shocked by this has already decided not to vote for Trump.

“Political correctness” is a great trope for these guys. It allows them to deflect without denying the bigotry, and subtly puts being racist and being called a racist on the same footing.

I’m disinclined to call every six-pointed star a Star of David, but the comments on the source site don’t leave much ground for hedging.

I’ve seen this kikery from 2 other shills.

If pointing out racism and antisemitism is “political correctness run amok”, than I’m proud to be a berserker.

Meanwhile, the Gawker mainpage couldn’t even share a Jezebel article about Elie Wiesel’s death?

Yeah, it's offensive that Gawker didn't link to an article that pretty much copied the whole obituary from the NY Times. I had to type in Nytimes.com to read it.

Just be grateful Gawker didn’t decide to write an obituary themselves. I can’t remember the last Gawker obit that wasn’t a variation on calm down you hysterics, this person wasn’t that special.

“Political correctness”, used by any Republican, is Republican dog-whistle for “bleeding heart, anti-Christian, minority loving liberals, who aren’t real Americans.”

No phrase used by a Republican, means to other Republicans, what you might think it does. I think this goes for “Conservatives” in Europe too.

You want “political correctness run amok” check out any college campus’s reaction to any comedian. Liberal comedians. But that’s not the same thing as the way it’s used by any conservative. To Republican voters, “political correctness” means “Don’t tell us we can’t be anti-semitic, racist, ammosexual, misogynistic, bigoted, know nothing, ignorant assholes. This is America, and it was founded on all of those things!”

Really glad you pointed that difference out. I’m happy that Bill Maher has frequently lambasted the ridiculously thin-skinned college liberals over how offended and “concerned” they get about comedians or frankly any speaker without their same world view. As a liberal myself I find myself saying “stay off my side” every time one of these stories comes up.

I try to avoid hanging out with anyone under 30 at this point. I don’t feel like a conversation should be like tap dancing through a field of land mines, should I hold an opinion that doesn’t go with whatever the liberal doctrine of the week happens to be. I find myself in pointless violently agreeing arguments being ripped apart over some form of fine detail that I simply don’t subscribe to.

On the other hand, I find myself chewing my leg off to get out of a room full of Republicans. I can’t even imagine how that could happen unless I join the Rotary Club or local Chamber of Commerce for my business.

This particular design of the Star of David is exactly the one required by Jews to wear on their sleeves during the Third Reich.

If Trump follows SOP, his only public response will be to insult anyone who “stupidly misinterpreted his innocent symbolism”.

I don’t know if Trump is anti-Semitic, per se.
But he is clearly self-absorbed, tone-deaf, insensitive, out-of-touch, and incapable of feeling or displaying empathy ... i.e., he’s borderline sociopathic.

Yeah, the people arguing it’s meant to evoke a sheriff’s badge are stupid and/or disingenuous shitbags. As SharBB points out in their comment, sheriff’s badges have circles at the points.

The star used on the Trump image looks almost exactly like the badge that Jews in Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Greece, Lithuania and Latvia were forced to wear.

It’s red instead of yellow to keep with the red/white/blue ‘Murrica theme and make it seem less obviously anti-semitic.

Racists’ super secret codes and dogwhistles are not difficult to figure out because racists are fucking idiots.

“Many on Twitter speculated, in the wake of the Trump’s tweet, that the Star of David was meant to be a police badge, symbolizing the FBI’s investigation into the private email server Clinton used while Secretary of State.”

Correct me if I’m wrong but FBI Badges don’t look like that.

Took at least two weeks to steal it, to boot. The “History Made” is obviously a reference to her clinching the nomination and the speech — I bet it actually dates back to the 8th and the CA primary.

It’s a really lame meme, though. They just added a money backdrop to a promo image and slapped “worst candidate ever” on it like that means anything substantive. Like quoting the Simpsons is inspired, edgy and brilliant commentary that will totally win minds and influence people.

Yep, they really should’ve gone with Southpark instead. 4chan is their fanbase, after all.
