If Trump had the money to pay for their healthcare and wage hikes, he wouldn’t need to peddle steaks and fake university degrees.

Exactly, it’s really curious that a “Billionaire” needs be involved in all these schemes. I don’t recall Bill Gates selling steaks...

Trump comes off some weird street hustler, which also says something about the people that fall for him.

If Bill Gates sold steaks, you’d have to buy them in a package with fries and broccoli.

I’ll never get over how cheap and crummy Trump’s entire business empire is. It’s like a massive Potemkin Village run on a shoestring budget. I frankly don't understand how he had a valuable brand even before this recent campaign happened. How does anyone who has ever done business with him want to repeat that experience?

Good ol’ boy network? I’m sure if Bernie Madoff were suddenly paroled there would be Wall Street types lined up offering him consultancy gigs.

The casino floor remains open as Taj’s gaming staff are not members of Unite Here.

...yeah but™.. who the hell wants to play in a casino with no drinks, no food, and no accommodations? Unless they actually find scabs to do the cooking and bartending? “Uh, ma’am, why are there olives and cocktail onions in my tequila sunrise?”

Yes! A new casino opened up near my house in a really nice area with lots of things to do, but they haven’t gotten their booze license yet and I was like big nope. You can’t drown out the sad vision of sad, perpetual gamblers just sucking down their cigs and pressing those buttons over and over without booze! And food if I win! Lol

Wait until he builds Trump Ground Zero! It’ll be YUGE and luxurious. The best Ground Zero anywhere. You’ll be amazed how much you’ll love his Ground Zero. The best, with only the best people hired to run it. Way better than any other Ground Zero, be it Hiroshima, Nagasaki, or Tunguska.

I was there a few years ago and there was what can only be described as a crater in the roof filled with junk that looked akin to the trash compactor on the Death Star. The airwalls in the ballroom were literally disintegrating, with fabric hanging off them. The place was a dump and I remember thinking we would be doomed if Trump was ever able to run the country like he runs his hotels. There’s also a gold statue of the creep in the driveway.

OK, here’s what needs to happen.

You, Mr./Ms. West Coast needs to go back to said Trump dump casino, stealthily shoot video footage of said dumpiness.

Then edit and post on your Gawker provided blog space. Clear?

Trump’s Taj Mahal is still open? That's unusual for a Trump business.

Chuck Baker, who’s worked as a cook at the Taj since it opened 26 years ago, told the New York Times that his salary of $20 an hour has increased by 20 cents in the last 10 years.

At first I was like “wtf, why is he still working there then” but then I realized that $20 an hour for a casino cook sounds like some decent pay, granted I don’t know the cost of living where he’s at. If this guy wants more pay he needs to jump around every 2 years or so. Staying at the same company for 26 years is a wage death sentence.

At $20/hr, could can live pretty decently.

And let’s get real, unless you’re a head chef or something, you ain’t getting $20/hr anywhere by luxury places.

Regardless of the area’s cost-of-living or his profession, someone who only gets a 1% raise over 26 YEARS is cause for concern. Accounting for nearly three decades of inflation, his $20 in 1990 had the buying power of $37 today. So his real income actually went down 45%.

The American worker has already conceded so much. What do owners of big businesses want? Slavery? It seems they’ll stop at nothing until they get it. They practically have it in their factories south of the border. And now they’re gunning for the white house. “I’m going to be president. Yuge!”. What’s next, president of the Universe? How much is enough?
