Ugh. Blue Apron can be so expensive, but I don't know how to quit it!

I’ve LOVED the boxes I’ve gotten, but I never have time to cook all the meals :( I’ve wasted a lot of money with food gone bad.

My sister gave my dad a gift certificate for Blue Apron and I'm not sure he will use it so I'm thinking he will end up passing it on to me. So, you like it. I'm sorta picky about food, do you find something you would enjoy every week or do you skip weeks?

No, because I am beyond over her and her husband. And yes, even RILEY! (I don’t really like kids anyway.)

I liked Riley last year but I was glad to see her out of the spotlight this year. The Warriors have become a very smug unlikeable team, and most of that is due to the owner calling them smarter than everyone else and Draymond Green getting away with a lot of shit. Also, they had another child so it was probably easier to keep Riley with Ayesha backstage.

Maybe I’m a glutton but these food delivery services never seem like it’ll be enough food. It’s like heating up a lean cuisine for lunch and expecting to be satisfied. That was a great appetizer - now where’s the rest of my meal!

I’ve gotten a few Blue Apron boxes and really enjoyed it—they have family plans with about four servings, and individual plans with two servings. The individual plan was enough food for me and my boyfriend, the only problem is each box comes with food for three recipes—I don’t have time to cook three times a week! So much good fresh produce went bad. :(

I get Home Chef and the portions tend to be a bit bigger. I also keep bags of frozen veggies and such in the freezer so if I think I need something extra I can add another side to the meal for only $2.

I don’t really get the concept of having food delivered to me and I still have to cook it?? Why don’t I just drive to the grocery store, buy that shit, come back and THEN cook it!!! GEEZ, TIE ME TO STOVE WHY DON’T YOU!

It also helps you learn to cook. I’m a much better cook after going through a couple of these boxes and I can recreate the recipes. And I’ve gotten a lot more use out of my garden this year because I have more creative uses for the produce. I also don’t want to spend $10 on a bottle of spices to try a recipe but if I get it delivered and I like it I can buy the spices to make it again and again.

Eh, I guess I figure I don't need it. I've been cooking since I was eleven, I can handle making do with substitutions and stuff. Cooking is fine. Now, like, baking on the other hand? Nightmares.

She really is the smuggest, but I somehow can’t begrudge her any of it. It’s not as if we haven’t heard of brown sugar bacon approx 34892 times, but her youtube videos allow me to pretend that I, too, am married to an impossibly well-behaved NBA star with impossibly cute kids. Giggle bitchily forever, Ayesha.

Has anyone actually tried any of her recipes? I have to admit, I’ve kind of been operating under the assumption that although she may be a decent home cook, this is mostly just an attempt to capitalize on the popularity of her husband (and child). But I made similarly cynical assumptions about Chrissy Teigen until I’d spent five minutes leaving through her cookbook, and not only did it shake them, but now I want to be her hetero life mate and concoct crazy awesome recipes together before stuffing our faces on the couch.
