I’m willing to believe that this was just someone’s fuckup rather than nefariousness. I certainly think there’s much bigger fish to fry when it comes to Trump’s dirty dealings.

I think the more interesting implication here isn’t that Trump may have done something wrong and improperly claimed a tax credit, it is that he may have done nothing wrong and isn’t making money hand over fist like he wants everyone to believe

No. In order to obtain the STAR tax exemption, NY homeowners have to affirmatively apply for it and affirm that they are eligible. Here is the form: https://www.tax.ny.gov/pdf/current_fo…

It must be so lonely for Joan Tisch, being the only female billionaire in the city.

    I'm here for you, Joan.

“Trump is the only New York billionaire... registered to receive the STAR credit.”

Is anybody really surprised this pus-infused queef monster sleazed his way into conning the government? I REALLY want to see his tax returns.

Thanks for the heads-up, I made the change :-)

You’re right about that, the only one in his life at this point is the Slovenian one that he’s only allowed to touch on Christmas and his birthday. She’s the worst gold-digging black widow ever. The man is 70. All she has to do is make sure the next time she sits on his face to just stay there until his chest stops rising and falling. I’m disappointed in her.

This is nothing more than a self-made American success story doing the good, smart work it takes to find every angle! God DAMN that smells like good old fashioned Horatio Alger-ish Americana!*

*Meaning a complete fiction, with no real parallels to real life.

Also had a very creepy obsession with teenaged boys.

A modern day Horatio Alger tale would involve this guy...

Naturally. Everything about the guy was weird and unsettling. Thus, his name could serve as a perfect descriptive term for all things GOP.

It’s really interesting how quickly Democrats gave up on trying to get Trump to release his tax returns. It’s like they’re so distracted over the terrible things he says, they can’t be bothered to go to the old standby. I said months ago that I thought Trump would be able to withstand calls to release his returns, but nobody is even calling for it.

I don’t think there is. I think the sentiment that there’s plenty of time feels a lot like assurances Democrats and progressives offered months ago when the Republicans had decided to overtly and publicly block any judicial appointments until after the election.

They wouldn’t dare! Of course they would. And if anything, they’ll be more popular among their base for having done it. Same thing goes here.

Surprised I’ve seen nothing on here about Howie Carr mocking Elizabeth Warren with the hand over the mouth Indian call at the Trump rally in Bangor, ME last night.

I wonder what the routine would have been if the Warren “controversy” was over African lineage? A spear-chucking motion? Jive speak?

Of all of Trump’s dipshittery, this offends me the least. I’d fully expect my accountant to get every tax break I could and report the lowest possible legal income to the authorities.

Of course, it does beg the question of how Mr. Moneybags could even get close enough to the “middle class” tax break if he was as incredibly rich as he claims.

Well if he released his tax returns like every other Presidential candidate that’s ever run we’d see why. We’d also see all his tax evasions and his real net worth, not the bs numbers he throws around.

He freely admits to using the tax code to his advantage. That information won’t hurt him with anyone who supports him. The real problem is it’s probably true he’s not nearly as rich as he says and maybe not even a billionaire.
