I don’t think there is a single Trump supporter who knows what “nativism” means.

Has Trump ever opened his fat yap about Canada? Or does he fear the wrath of our polite deadliness?

P.S. Our nation’s capital is “Ottawa”.

This is the Obama I wanted for the entire eight years. Guy can sum things up so perfectly. Wish he'd done more of this—but glad he's doing it now.

I’m pretty sure Obama’s “No Fucks Given” Summer/Fall Campaign Tour will be this summer’s best ticket.

A beautifully crafted and delivered antithesis to the entire Trumpocalypse of ignorance, fear, race bating and scape goating.

    What an awesome Dude.

The irony shouldn’t be lost on our US brethren that while Obama was being covered live coast-to-coast in Canada on multiple stations in dozens of languages, CNN and other US networks were breathlessly screening an empty podium in anticipation of another empty speech by the Trumpenfraud 2000.

Listening to Obama has become my go-to salve after trashing my ears with the sounds of Donald Trump’s voice (which I try to always mute, but I don’t always get to the remote in time). I hope I get to go hear him stump for Hillary sometime before November.

How nice it must be to have a bright, coherent public servant like Obama. Trudeau is inexplicably popular here (partly because of how appalling lacking his opponents are) but to have him at the same presser as Obama is a national embarrassment.

Obama is an amazing orator, he’s only gotten better over his two terms. Justin is new and has his own way of talking, admittedly he is better when its off the cuff and about topics he is passionate about (but I think that is the same for most people used to public discourse). Speeches are words being put in your mouth, and having your own rhythm for it helps out. Trudeau’s speeches are not so bad that anyone needs to be embarrassed about them. He is representing his country just fine.

As a liberal-as-fuck academic, I don’t think I can recall a single person as consistently insufferable as Obama (and believe me, academia is rife with such persons). He’s always lecturing people with his overwhelmingly smug elitism. I’ve met several Nobel winners (who actually earned their awards) and none of them have been as full of themselves as Obama is. And the idea that Obama of all people should be lecturing people about working against economic opportunities for workers is both laughable and detestable. January 20th can’t here soon enough.

Hear hear. I imagine him hanging out once he moves to Kalorama, entertaining friends but being that guy who just one ups and tells stories but really is only doing it to show off. Like we get it, you were president. He reminds me of this guy I’m close friends with - totally insufferable - always talking about how he was this big time CEO at Google and yabs about Steve Jobs whenever someone pulls out their iPhone 6S+. Such a prick.

Some of the people in my life who are coming out as Trump supporters are truly shocking.

I have a friend (well, not a friend anymore) from HS who is engaged to a girl from Mumbai (he met her while working overseas) and is a HUGEEEE Trump supporter. How the fuck is that possible? He literally hates everything he loves and is going to marry.

It’s the old “OK, I’m in, now close the door after me” policy. I remember watching a show where Ariana Huffington and Dinesh D’souza railing against the U.S.’s open immigration policy. Huffington’s since change her tune but .... still, I sat there going “Wha?..”
