David Tennant is a gift to humanity. Whenever I see him I want to sing ‘I will always love you’ Dolly Parton Version NOT Whitney.

Numpty is pretty awesome. Scots really are the leading exporter of artful insults. Followed closely by Mexico. (Mr. Smuttins worked with several Mexicans who created searingly apt nicknames for everyone that annoyed them.)

Oh, us Mexicans love clever little nicknames. Some of them are just downright wrong, but yet so hilarious. E.g., my friend once saw a girl and was like “there goes little birthday cake” and I was like huh? He said yeah, she’s like a birthday cake, everyone’s stuck a finger in. I was like :O

My sister’s first introduction to David Tennant was through Jessica Jones. Needless to say, when we watched Broadchurch later, she was thoroughly thrown off because at first she couldn’t stop seeing him as RapeCulture Purple Man.

This comment is not at all relevant to this story, but I just wanted to not-so-subtly ask, WHEN IS BROADCHURCH SEASON 3 COMING??

I am one of the people who apparently live in a bubble (aka I’ve never watched Dr. Who). But, I loooooove Broadchurch and cannot wait for the new season to come to the US!

On a side note - I would also give up my left arm for Season 4 + 5 of Love/Hate.

I hope Scotland strike some sort of deal with the EU. Nicola Sturgeon has been a bamf throughout.

As a (Republic of) Ireland resident, my great worry is Northern Ireland. NI shares a border with the EU after all, unlike mainland UK. People who live in the North and work in South, or vice versa, will have complications for sure. But the real worry is renewed tensions. I don’t know how leaving the EU will affect the Good Friday Agreement. There’s so much uncertainty and instability throughout the UK at the minute and it’s very unsettling thinking about the scale of the fallout but up north that fallout could mean a return to the “old days”.

This Twitter user had his tweets on the matter serialised by Huffpost and is worth reading if interested: http://m.huffpost.com/uk/entry/uk_57...

Anti-immigrant sentiment usually comes from ignorance but is nearly always fuelled by inequality and poverty (and tacit political manipulation).

The Guardian - “EU referendum: welcome to the divided, angry Kingdom”

Tangent: I think Nicola Sturgeon is brilliant - if we had a PM candidate like her in England I would vote for her in a heartbeat.

To vote against their (the impoverished) economic interests the hyper-privileged class need ignorant poor people to point the blame elsewhere. I feel systemic prejudice is often a top-down issue: http://lukijo.kinja.com/akala-xenophob...
