    Applebee’s isn’t fast-casual.

    Fast-casual restaurants do not offer table service. Fast-casual are the ones that are lousy but people pretend they are good like Panera.

      That’s what I’d always understood. Fast-casual is Panera, Chipotle, Corner Bakery, etc. — places without table service that are considered a few steps above fast food.

    Hey, people are sick of their “BOMBASTIC NACHOS WITH SHIT ALL OVER THEM” dishes. Or generally, stuff that comes out of a plastic bag, is reheated and plopped onto a plate.

    People can complain about Bloomberg’s nanny-state, but I met my parents at Penn Station once, and they were starving, so we went to O’TGIFapplebee’s or some such, and even the salads topped 1,500 calories each.

    People don’t have money to eat out any more because the illegal immigrants working in the restaurant have taken over the jobs of the people who would normally wash dishes when they couldn’t pay for their meal. Another example of the American way of life being threatened by immigrants.

    The problem with fast casual chains is that the quality isn't any better than fast food (and often the food is just as unhealthy too) but they're significantly more expensive. Why pay upwards of $10 for lunch if it's still reheated, mass-produced crap?
