We pay law enforcement to act professionally while on duty. We pay them not to sit around and just talk mindlessly with someone or masturbate in the patrol car. If you can’t spend your shift not being an idiot, why are you in a uniform with a badge and gun?

My god, are these cops afraid the body cameras are going to catch them banging a prosti—

    Oh. Right.

I kinda was one, but that show was a scripted comedy, not real life.

This would come out of Round Lake.

Look cops, here’s the key difference: I don’t choose to be pulled over or searched by a police officer; you, however, CHOOSE to work as a police officer. Laws change, and your chosen profession is to uphold the law and protect civilians.

It’s a free country. If you don’t like it, then quit.

Meh. You kinda do actually... maybe slow down next time you’re trying to make a point and you might make it more clearly.

If you want to make a semantic argument, sure, I guess it is still your choice to pull over the car and allow a cop to search you... but logically, I think you get where I am coming from.

My hypothetical interactions with the police (I think I’ve only ever been pulled over 3 or 4 times in my life for really minor stuff) is only voluntary in that my other choices are far worse and would still likely involve the criminal justice system.

And my point is, my choice to cooperate with police hardly compares to their freedom to say “this job now requires that I do something I fundamentally disagree with, I quit.”

Surprised they don’t just throw them to the ground and shoot them. The cameras are black, right?

Sounds like user error to me. Unless they have evidence film was viewed, shared, or stored improperly.

Because there’s nothing people want to watch more than an Illinois cop taking a dump…

A lot of the body cameras don’t have an off button. Rightfully so.

I would worry about the cop’s right to privacy but I’m too busy not giving a flying fuck about the well-being or rights of law enforcement.

They are crazed dogs, armed and unaccountable to anyone. Cameras are one of the only weapons citizens have to fight back against them.

So in short, I am going to assume the police are lying and that the details are being stretched at best.

Fuck the police. Fuck them forever.

Meanwhile, any American that complains the government is listening to every single thing they do on the phones and the internet gets told “shut the fuck up, why do you hate freedom?”

You switch them off when you violently assault and/or shoot people. I don’t see why you can’t switch them off when you take a piss.

An officer would never switch off a body camera - the equipment malfunctioned. Every. Damn. Time.
