      There’s another Alberta case recently about parents who basically let their kid waste away from diabetes rather than learn how to give him his shots and other treatments.

    So we’re not the only country with an incredibly unfair and two tiered justice system? Great. Parents whose stupidity and proud ignorance kills their own child 3-4 months. Rich preppy unapologetically rapes a woman behind a dumpster, summer in prison. Cops kill unarmed citizens on film, no trials (generally) but when there is acquitted (generally). George Zimmerman is free. Donald trump is running for president. I want to leave this planet and find another sometimes. FFS.

      I agree 100%. A partial solution: Vote. Legislators make laws. Governors and Presidents appoint judges. And note that sometimes the laws need to be strict not just about right-wing practices (religion that withholds medical treatment from minors) but far-left, too (anti-vaccination). What I’m trying to say that it’s not just Blue vs Red voting, but sane vs crazy.

    Those are extremely lenient sentences considering they killed their child. And to blame the ambulance? That is fucked up. If you wait too late to get real medical intervention, then that is on you. Don’t blame the healthcare workers for your failure to act.

      Yeah, that comment totally cheesed me off. The fact of the matter is that the poor kid was probably beyond help by the time they even thought about calling an ambulance. Then you have the brass ones to blame the AMBULENCE? I just hope their other kids have REALLY strong immune systems. Oh, wait, no they don't, because they weren't vaccinated.

      I cracked up in disbelief when I read that. bro, your child LITERALLY DIED. And I don’t see how they can even justify blaming the ambulance for not being equipped... to do a lumbar puncture, identify the causative bacteria, and have the specific IV antibiotic ready???

      I think they’re blaming the ambulance driver because the ambulance wasn’t equipped with a child-sized respirator mask (or something like that).

      They waited so long to call the ambulance that their child stopped breathing before he could get medical attention.

    I prefer doctors over natural medicine on principle, but I’ll allow you can try it if you want. However, if your child is NOT getting better even taking all those miracle brews or some shit, take them to the fucking doctor. Not doing that is absolutely abuse on my book. Fuck these two and I hope their other children are safe.
