I listen to Wolf Blitzer sometimes in the car on my way home from work just to piss myself off, and boy does it fucking work like a charm. Yesterday he interviewed Paul Ryan and asked him one, ONE question about the sit-in. ONE. The other 500 questions were all different versions of: Do you trust Trump? Do you support Trump? Do you choose Trump over Hillary?

      GOD FUCK EVERYTHING

This guy is a shill for Trump. He’s 110% Trump all the way. I feel like this is nothing more than a strategy to push the outrageous things Trump says to an outside party, that isn’t linked to Trump, but still acts as a mouth piece for him.

Personally I don’t think Trump will be able to do it. He won’t be able to behave himself in the debates. Hillary will ruffle his feathers about something, and Trump will let it all loose. I can already see his team facepalming.

So instead of blatant racist douchebags like Jeffrey Lord, we go with maybe kinda racist, and blatantly misogynist douchebag Lewandowski? Bravo, CNN.

    Edit: Pretty goddamn racist also.

The thing that is so damn exacerbating about CNN’s political coverage is that they have an excellent stable of real professionals when it comes to analyzing politics, and they wind up in the same stable as the people who participate in clownish back and forth debates that the generic “Trump Supporter #2" and “Token Black Democrat” have.

When I see that hussy Kayleigh McEnany rambling on and on, and the magnificent Gloria Borger is sitting right there, the picture of professionalism letting that poor, hapless girl spew out her stupdity, it’s just frustrating.

SHUT UP YOU DUMB GIRL AND YOU MIGHT LEARN A THING FROM A REAL PROFESSIONAL!

I know, I know, that’s the format, but fuck. An hour of Dana Bash, Gloria Borger & John King breaking down and discussing the political news of the day, with either AC or Erin Burnett hosting, would blow every other media outlet out of the water in terms of quality political news.

I also know that about 4 other people would watch it, but whatever.

Actually, the more dubious thing is that Lewandowski [almost certainly] signed an NDA about anything he heard, saw, or learned while working on the Trump campaign. Logically, none of these networks should be willing to hire any political operative who has to abide by an NDA with any candidate.

I get where you are coming from with that, but I also understand why they are hiring him. He’s being hired to engage in the endless stream of hollow substance-free rhetorical jousting that goes on during a good chunk of CNN’s 6-9 (EST) hours ( I know this because I am a sadist who likes to leave CNN on in the background while doing shit around the house or playing with my kid).

Inside knowledge of the campaign isn’t essential, but I could imagine that being able to say they have the “Former Trump Campaign” manager might be seen as an attractive marketing point for CNN. He’s not being hired because he would say much of anything that is actually juicy.

As we’ve discussed before, the pressure on news outlet bottom lines right now is tremendous, so I get that they play to the crowd as best they can and those of us looking for more meat or insight either have to just slog through or try to pick out the morsels on the internet or whatever.

I certainly hope that it is actually true that these stupid jousting sessions are the best way for CNN to maximize their ratings, because if they are not, then for the good of humanity they need to put that format out of its misery and let the professionals (which as I noted, they do have) take over.

Hi. I’m having this comment typed for me by my neighbor who has been generous enough to lend a hand.

You see, my eyes rolled themselves right out of their sockets and are now drinking heavily. I, in the meantime, am busy banging my head on my desk at this latest shining example of failing upward.

I hope that Trump wins the election and nukes the planet six ways from Sunday because i don’t fucking want to live here anymore.

He assaulted a journalist. Now he gets to work around other journalists? I feel bad for the woman he assaulted who left her job after the assault. Congrats to CNN for giving a high profile job to a glorified body guard.

Feels pretty good to live in a society where we reward a guy that calls women cunts and physically assaults a journalist because he will make a network more money.

    Fuck this.

Presumably he was fired because he didn’t know jack shit about running a campaign. So CNN hires him to give insights on running a campaign? Yay ‘journalism’...
