If Britain opted out of the EU, this song would have to be known as Trans Rope Express, which is unthinkable

538's elections podcast had Tom Clark on to talk about Brexit and it was actually pretty fascinating. At a time when US politics coverage feels like an attempt to get blood from a stone, it was refreshing to hear about something I know nothing about. The polling model stuff was a little dry/inside (like always), but Clark’s discussion of which demographics might be voting which way and why was definitely worth it.

A summer heat has descented onto central Europe that’s so unusually suffocating that even myself as a relatively young person feel exhausted and drained shortly after sunrise. I don’t even have to care about scientific study to recognize that the climate’s severely out of balance, and I have nothing but contempt for the previous generation and their greed and carelessness that messed up my future in a likely irredeemable way. Shame on you, shame on everyone that feels entitled to drive cars for walking distances, shame on the noise polluters that damage my hearing every time I step out of a building, shame on the anti-intellectualism that brought this upon us all, what a waste of potential.

Got to agree. Here in the States, members of “The Greatest Generation” used to use pilot whales for target practice.

Ummm...maybe not. According to CNN, he’s raised $11m since Tuesday, proving Republicans are fools with their money.
