i bought that body glide chafing stick thing for my thighs but it didn’t work. it was just sticky and almost made the problem worse. i love wearing dresses but hate wearing shorts underneath, because that defeats the entire purpose. wtf is the solution????

THIS. This is the stuff. I discovered it when I was being a bridesmaid 1 million times and always having raw thighs after sweltering summer soirees. It is a miracle. https://www.amazon.com/Monistat-Compl…

there are these garter like things that you wear on your thighs...i can’t remember for the life of me what they are called...the name starts with a B and ends with a “lette” but not bralette, which is the only word that is coming to mind. Or i might be completely wrong about the name.

I really want to find shorts to wear under my skirts that provide a little smoothing without being a sausage casing. this has proven nigh impossible. I’ve found shorts that are very loose and thin, and ive found THIGH TAMERS OMG YOU’LL NEVER GET THESE ON! items, but nothing in that sweet spot.

I bought a cheapy pair of maidenform “everyday support” long short things, but the thighs rolled up all day long :-/

I’m leaving for a big vacation soon and I need a solution!!

I used the Dr. Scholl’s Rub Relief stick (same concept) and didn’t have as much success as using moleskin to line the offending areas of my shoes.

the bandaid blister bandage things are AWESOME if you already have blisters. Like...you could wear them in the shower and they won’t budge.

This. They’re amazing. I have looked down at my feet a few times and realized that I’ve had one on for a week and that maybe it’s time for a change, because they do not budge at all. (Also great for any pimples that you have popped. Slap them on the spot, go to sleep, and it sucks all of the sludge up. It’ll be flat in the morning.)

I use Monistat Anti-chafe Gel. You can use it for chub rub, blister prevention and even makeup primer.

Don't let the name fool you, it is not yeast infection medicine

Do use, although currently I’m using old makeup primer as chafe gel :D

Yup! That’s what I use. Cheap, effective, multipurpose — and it lasts forever.

I will wear this with a goat, on a boat, in the rain, on a train, on the track, on my back. I will put it on at my locker while reciting lines from Meet the Fockers. I will drink my fifth beer, here, in the pub, but not the club. I am 39, too old for such a time. I love pink lemonade, the day I get paid, and trust Kate’s advice on unconventional band aids. ( I’ve had seven beers. The thing about the five beers was a lie.) goodnight moon.

Are you US-based? Because if you are, you are simultaneously worrying me and are a bit my hero for being seven in before noon.

I scrolled through and didn’t see this question asked, so I apologize if it’s already been addressed, but..

I have hyperhidrosis. It sucks, especially when it comes to heels and sandals. Is this stuff still effective if you sweat buckets?

I don’t know if it’s less effective with extreme sweating, but it certainly stays put with all that hot summer foot stuff.

Can confirm. The Gold Bond version is good too but is the size of a stick deodorant.

With all due respect, I did not care for the BandAid version at all and went right back to Body Glide. Expensive, yes, but I’ve used it for more than a decade without issue. And b/c it works better, it lasts longer than the BandAid stuff. Warning: Avoid the “Body Glide For Her” version, an unnecessary twist on the formula that weakens the effectiveness. Amazon reviews back this up.

I have been doing this with my chapstick for years. It works especially well with rubber Havianas flip-flops. So far any stick lip balm works well, and I always have it in my bag.

Okay but what if you confuse your toe chapstick for your lip chapstick and you end up rubbing your toe germs all over your lips?

According to my local pharmacy, this product is being discontinued. It’s so weird that there’s a post about this stuff because I just cleaned out my local drugstore (2 sticks) when the manager there told me it would no longer be produced and therefore they would not have it in stock again. I use it on my toddler’s feet because she will rip off any adhesive product. Hope it’s not true, but the guy who told me was the buyer for the store.

I discovered this stuff just a couple weeks ago after a really horrible chaffing experience and I agree, it is amazing. Sadly, I lost my new HG product to the sun last week, I left it out while at the beach and it melted and leaked all over. So yeah, don’t leave it out in the sun.

Try Body Glide. I’ve tried both, and prefer that. It tends to adhere more, and the stick is bigger (like a travel size deodorant, maybe a bit more) for a similar price.
