I’m impressed that you even got to the list of shows! I spent a good portion of yesterday’s work day trying to load the goddamn page. I have 17 vouchers and $38.25 in discounts. And apparently nowhere to spend them.

Do you still have 17, though? Yesterday I had 3, but today they were gone.

Prophets of Rage and Flight of the Conchords are pretty good choices.

Probably just take the kid to the Kidz Bop show ‘cause I’m a good Dad.

The thing that really aggravates me about this is that they’re only for Live Nation owned venues, which where I am (and probably most places) are giant amphitheaters and civic centers. I never go to shows at those kinds of venues, because the logistics are a nightmare and I hate being around that many people. Also, my best choices are Blink-182 (which would’ve been great if it was the early ‘00s) or Heart, Cheap Trick and Joan Jett. I’m leaning towards the 80s ladies but man...people.

I actually miss the Verizon Center in DC because if I did want to catch something like this, I could literally just walk there.

You should see Heart! I paid full price to see them a few years ago and it was great :)

There was a guy playing air guitar on his cane the whole time. That was just an added bonus.

I was trying to get tix to this, but they’re only good for general admission seats, which apparently isn’t actually a section at the listed show, so I can’t figure it out. It’s to a show 2.5 hours away, which is the closest in my area, sadly.

About 1 concert in 10-15 is any good. And they’re all in placed where there are lots of LiveNation venues, which is sadly nowhere near where I live. There are no shows in New York.

Also no shows in Los Angeles, Portland, San Francisco, Boston, Seattle, Chicago. This is a joke of a settlement.

I have like 20 free tickets and a whole fuckload of discount codes. I’d rather them just have given me money.

They want all of Texas to travel to Dallas. Fucking Dallas. For a lackluster, undersold show of someone I wouldn’t probably bother to use the freebie to see if they were in the apartment next-fucking-door.

Also, how does the 2020 expiration work with the rolling out of shows through May 2017?

I feel like Ticketbastard basically just used this to fuck everyone over again to prove they still can.

What perfect timing. My coworker and I were spitballing all the alt-rock one hit wonders we unabashedly loved or desperately loathed in our middle and high school years, and we came up with some legit mid- to late-90's doozers:

    • Del Amitri, Roll With Me
    • Len, Steal My Sunshine
    • Harvey Danger, Flagpole Sitta
    • Semisonic, Closing Time
    • The New Radicals... forget the name of their one song
    • Lit, Miserable
    • Third Eye Blind (Not a one-hit wonder but so thoroughly 90s)
    • Matchbox 20 (same, alas)
    • Cake, “ “ “
    • Dishwalla
    • ____, Breakfast at Tiffany’s
    • That one song about the old people who went for a drive but got lost and died
    • Finlay Quaye, Sunday Shining

The 90s were....something. Something we can apparently get free tickets to, apparently.

For some reason my edits aren’t editing.

This is what you get when you type “That one song about the old people who went for a drive but got lost and died” into Google.

      Damn Google, you good.
