After reading the convoluted justification for supporting an ambulatory genital wart with a shih tzu stapled to his head I wondered how he sleeps at night. But, I suspect this soul dead POS sleeps like a baby.

I listened to this while reading the interview and it makes you understand his mindset so much better:

You forgot to ask him the most obvious question: exactly what does Trump have on you? Something to do with a hidden video of barely legal twinks, I assume?

And there’s no way Trump spent 57 millon of his own money on this campaign. First, I doubt he has that much cash he can raise so quickly, second, his whole business graft, er, plan, has always been to risk, and lose, other people’s money.

right, he lent his campaign the money. Now when his campaign gets outside cash, he can pay himself back first

I think he’s a very practical person. I think he’s a very smart person. He’s got an analytical mind. I think he’s tapped into something. His son said he’s the “blue collar billionaire.” I think what he’s tapped into—there’s a tremendous amount of anxiety in the country right now.

It sounds like he’s trying to convince himself that any of this is true.

“I think I can justify working for this clown. I think I can do it.”

Yeah, that’s a whole lot of ‘I thinks’ followed by a ringing endorsement by Trump Jr.

He is right about there being a lot of anxiety in the country, though...

I find it so perplexing how many Trump backers essentially have to rewrite Trump’s entire platform. The guy that Scaramucci describes does not even slightly resemble Trump’s rhetoric, messaging, or positioning. What's the point of getting into politics if you're in this position? Do they just like being near the levers of power, even if they vehemently disagree with how that power is being used? Are they hoping for graft opportunities?

To be fair, what politician has ever stuck to their campaign rhetoric once in office? Why do we expect Trump to do all the things he says during the campaign? No one has done that for years....

Hamilton, this was an interesting interview and an informative look into the Trump campaign’s Wall Street arm. And yet, I feel you missed an obvious question to ask Scaramucci. Scaramucci: Do you do the fandango?

Fascinating how The Mooch has found just enough room in Trump’s policies (which tend to be the ones he’s defined concretely—like the wall, or the ban on Muslim immigration) to wiggle out of the horrible parts... And for the rest, apparently “I’ll figure it out” is an acceptable policy platform from the man for whom “figuring it out” usually involves a few trips to bankruptcy court and a lot of disappointed stakeholders.

The thing is, he’s not even wiggling out of the horrible parts, he just doesn’t have the courage to stand by what those policies mean. Saying “enforce the immigration laws on the books” means “deport 10 million people.” A “temporary” ban on Muslim immigration is still a ban. Calling a tax plan that would increase the deficit by $10 trillion a “starting point” is meaningless.

I was fascinated by this line

And I think what Donald Trump is saying is, give me the job, and when I get to that job I will figure it out.

The mental gymnastics are incredible on this guy. If you went to a job interview and asked for a job that you’re not qualified for and when confronted your answer was “give me the job and i’ll figure it out” you’re not getting that job and we’re talking about the job of being the president of the United States of America. How do you convince yourself or even repeat that out-loud so that others may hear you?
