There’s a chance... I mean a chance... bear with me here, but there’s just the smallest chance that Donald Trump isn’t terribly smart.

Think about it. It would explain a lot, wouldn’t it?

One gay person probably said something positive about him one time so he was able to extrapolate from that they all love him!

Don, the plural of anecdote is not data. Much less the singular.

With Trump I can see one person probably saying something “nice” to him that was so clearly dripping in sarcasm and from that day on he was convinced he had the community in his pocket.

Then again, why sully the reputation of Muppet Babies, my middle sister’s favorite show as a wee lil’ bae?

I absolutely believe he wants the prestige and perks of being President, but not the hard work, and that if it becomes possible for him to walk away from the race without losing face then he will absolutely do that. So you guys would have to put up with him smugly and loudly blatting on about “Oh I see the president did X, well if I were the president WHICH I COULD HAVE BEEN IF I’D WANTED TO ONLY I DIDN’T, I would have done Y and saved America” for the rest of his life which will be a total drag, but on the other hand you would not have to risk an apocalypse.

On the morning of November 9, when Hillary Clinton wins the presidency, the person in the United States who wakes up with the most blissful sense of relief will be Donald Trump.

“So you tell me who’s better for the gay community or for women than Donald Trump.” Damn Trump you got me, I can’t think of anyone, it’s all so clear now.

Wait I think I meant a very large number of people, literally almost anyone.

I have a friend who was raised in a conservative religious family, and when he was younger he believed being gay was a sin and that he would go to hell for being gay. He didn’t believe in marriage equality or anti-discrimination laws for LGBT people because he did not think he deserved those things.

When super religious, conservative, anti-equality people claim they have gay friends or in this case gay supporters, I assume they are either lying or it’s a sad case like with my friend in high school.

I mean Donald Trump is just talking out his ass, but if he does have gay supporters it doesn’t mean he’s actually good for them.

Your friend was me. Luckily, my parents moved us to a pretty diverse urban area when I was nine (and I do not mean urban in the shady roundabout way, I mean a city) and couldn’t afford to keep sending me to private Christian schools, so I lost the faith pretty quick. I cannot explain my brother though. I love him, he’s my brother, but he is an MRA and he has a friend who is a transwoman who is also an MRA so he gets to have *opinions* on transgender people because she said they’re okay. It’s made even worse since I’ve been out as pan for over a decade so he knows exactly how I feel, yet his one friend overrides the opinion of me and everyone else. Sigh

Yeah, what I think he means is that he has a few employees who happen to be gay and are afraid to say what they really think of him, which to him translates to “love him and support him”.

Do women* gays count double or not at all? Usually it’s not at all, but I’d love any excuse to talk at him a while. Kind of filibuster him to death sort of thing.

*I hate this new-old adjectival use of “women” for fuck’s sake. My man father doesn’t understand why, though. He’s probably on his period.

Not to be overly critical, but it kinda drives me nuts when Bernie says “the woman’s movement” or “the gay movement,” too. I’m sure his heart is in the right place, but it just makes him sound like an old, white, male liberal from the sixties. Which, duh, he is. But it just sounds so unintentionally condescending. Especially “the woman’s movement” (or occasionally, “the women’s movement”).

Yeah, a lot of the things Bernie says makes him sound like he is stuck in the 60's. Like “ghetto” to refer to where black people live.

Trump went on to purport that his rival in the general election, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, accepts donations from countries in the Middle East.

So I guess having your failed business ventures bailed out by Saudi royals doesn’t count here?

Also, as has already been proven, Trump’s measure of a person/group “supporting” him is that they have not actively told him to his face to go fuck himself.
