Yup. Woman are always made to feel like they are overreacting if they find a man creepy. We’re supposed to be understanding of gross behavior and write it off as “social awkwardness.” Fuck that noise. Trust your gut ladies.

Man: “Awww, why dont you give me a smile, I’m just trying to be friendly, you can at least be friendly back!”

Woman ignores him and walks away.

      Man: “Bitch”

And then women get blamed for being too sensitive.

Adrastra predicts "Low Key" title for Taylor's new albumStassa Edwards

‘I can see your tits in that swimsuit,’

So we’re all clear, while swimmers definitely enjoy making a shit ton of nipple jokes (fan favorite: “It’s a bit nipply out this morning” during outdoor morning practices), this is absolutely the kind of shit that would have made every woman on that team swim in the furthest lane from this kid possible at all times.

Also, I am really glad this kid decided not to do summer swim the one summer I coached in the same league as Oakwood.

The article also pointed out that his claims of being unused to drugs and alcohol are false. He has messages on his phone that refer to an acid trip and to his interest in trying a combo of LSD and Molly, as well as wax and dab. And a prior run in with the police for underage drinking.

I understand why the defence is allowed to submit ‘character references’ and letters of support, detailing the convicted person’s good behaviour to be considered for sentencing. But I think that the defence should also be allowed to collect character references and letters describing what a fucking creepy asshole the convicted person was, outside of the crime he was convicted for. It’s not fair that in this case, like with so many, the judge considers what the convicted person’s damn parents think.

Just on the basis of a personal experience but the judge (in the case I’m referring to) would not consider negative letters in sentencing, citing the suspect motives of the writers.

(though they she did accept letters from people who were personally named as “victims”)

Oh I know, but I think in a case like this people who are supportive can be considered to have suspect motives, or at the very least to let their relationship with the convicted person overshadow the gravity of their crime, i.e. ‘My happy go lucky son doesn’t enjoy steak anymore!’

Brock would make comments to the women such as ‘I can see your tits in that swimsuit,’

What the fuck was he trying to accomplish with that?

I know. What do you say to that? Thanks for noticing? Between 6th and 7th grade I developed breasts. I walked into class the first day of 7th grade and immediately the class fuckwit yelled out that I must have gotten breast implants over the summer. The teacher was there and said nothing. What does one say to this sort of fuckery?

It’s a power and dominance thing, I bet. He’s objectifying women and diminishing their humanity. Such a remark serves to humiliate them and make them feel self-conscious. He probably doesn’t really see women as people but as objects for his enjoyment.

Also, I recently got told by a woman that if I turn a guy down at the bar and am even the slightest bit bitchy about it, I deserve to be punched in the face by him. This is where some people are coming from. Also, when men screamed “I’D LOVE TO SPLIT THAT ASS” from vehicles, it’s not a compliment—which she took as me bragging. This was a real person, a friend of a friend, not a stranger on the internet.

Hey, at least she added the “even a slightly bit bitchy” part. Plenty of people think women deserve to be punched in the face for turning down a “nice guy” at all.

I am not at all suggesting that you are guilty of this, but I have heard other women repeat the disgusting things men say to them in a way that is definitely a humble brag. A former friend did this constantly and it is one of the main reasons why she is no longer a friend. She texted me one of these stories while I was on my fucking honeymoon.

Well, what is it you think they should have done? Being creepy is not a crime and there are creepy dudes everywhere. You warn other women and keep it moving. No one could have followed him around at all times to keep him from raping this woman. No one could have predicted exactly what he was gonna do and when. Only the rapist can stop his dirty raping self.

the people (women) who see the signs before it gets to this point are usually dismissed because he’s “awkward” or “socially inept” and are encouraged to “give him another chance”
