It’s hard to see how this hurts the DNC, after all it’s all public knowledge and all true. This hack just puts the whole thing out there in a easily consumed, media friendly package that will generate a LOT of articles without the DNC needing to do anything. So, are we SURE it was a hack?

Not sure if this is good or bad for Hillary. Will this take the wind out of any criticisms against him? Or will its contents (assuming any of it is new—which it doesn’t seem like) wreck his reputation more?

Happening this early, I think it’s a bad thing.

Also opens up to lots of jokes about insecure files and emails.

Can’t help but think Putin is behind it getting stolen/ getting out there. Trump and him are best buddies and Putin very clearly would rather see a wimp like Trump in the White House than Clinton who both the Russians and Chinese view as a major stumbling block to any attempts to annex their areas or amass power.

Essentially they think they can steamroll the US with Trump in the White House and be able to take the top spot as an economic superpower since Trump would likely sell out working class people, while with Clinton they know they have no chance as she’s not afraid to tell them to go fuck themselves.

Kinda funny too since in the US the right have the complete opposite impression, they think Clintons the wimp.

“Max Fisher: So it’s expected here that Clinton would take a hostile approach to Russia?Fyodor Lukyanov: Yes, a very hostile approach. Hillary is the worst option of any president [from the Russian view], maybe worse than any Republican.”

“Some Chinese netizens oppose Hillary for what they perceive as her “anti-China” policy when she served as the secretary of state from 2009 to 2013. Members of Beijing’s foreign-policy community tend to see Obama’s 2011 pivot to Asia as a plot to contain China – and they blame Clinton for the strategy.”

Just the thought of Trump engaging/interacting with any given world leader is such a cringe-inducing one.

Nothing really new in there. On the other hand, what else do you need at this point? His campaign seems to be floundering, he’s topped out in the very low 40s.

Right? I mean "bad businessman" and "misogynist in chief" are both... you know...accurate. I mean, honestly this seems kind of mild, and they stick to pretty basic fact.

Well it seems this was put together before people even started voting in the primary. I would guess this was just a basic start.

This is dumb, and this is why Trump will be the next President.

This isn’t strategy, arguing about any of the points in this document are pointless. The more you attack the man, the less time you have to talk to the people about how awesome things will be if you win. If 90% of ongoing political arguments are about Trump, people will walk away thinking that he must be a valid candidate, and a very significant number of people will vote for him simply because he is the only candidate whose policies they remember.

Yeah, they’re recycling John Kerry’s “Vote for me because I’m not George Bush” playbook and expecting different results. They might get them, but damn. The DNC and Clinton’s incompetence at campaigning is really making this way closer than it has any business being.

This is a fundamental part of any campaign’s oppo and comms operations, not a campaign strategy. Every major campaign compiles a couple of books like this. It’s just one part, not an entire playbook.

Why not just include transcripts of Trump’s interviews and speeches? I feel like a lot of this is stuff that Trump has brought up himself no reason (his crude comments about the judge in his case, which drew lots of unnecessary attention to Trump University; his bankruptcies that he brags about often).

I am also astonished that there were able to glean so many detailed policy ideas from Trump.

There’s a lot of that in the report. I haven’t been able to go through all of it but there’s quite a bit of stuff from interviews he’s given over the years.

Good research, though it seems they underestimated the public's willingness to throw concepts such as reason, complexity, restraint and decency out the window, in favor of trite nonsensical slogans and blame projection.

No doubt no doubt. That is a true and valid statement that needs many more upvotes and likes.

I’m still Feelin The Bern, but now that Hillary has beat him fair and square I think it’s finally time to unify the party so we can beat Donald Trump. I cannot imagine a world where this man is given the power to launch a nuclear strike. It strikes fear into the very depths of my soul. That’s why, now that I’ve had some time to learn about Hillary, it surprised me to find out that she’s 100% identical to Bernie in terms of policy.

And you know what? If I can be part of history and vote for the first woman president? Well damn, count me in like right now. Man, I never thought I would say that. Hillary is a legit baller of a candidate tho. She is on point. That resume is lit.

Trump’s only fidelity has been to himself and with that he has shown that he has no problem lying to the American people. Trump will say anything and do anything to get what he wants without regard for those he harms.
