    Yea this is truly repulsive. Whoever thought this was a good idea should spend a little time eating actual prison food since it’s clearly such a big joke to them.

    On a related note, I would give ANYTHING for a cafeteria food popup. I’ve got a lot of fond memories of breakfast for lunch, tater tots and square pizza.

      Oh man my cafeteria baked the cookies and they were surprisingly large and only 50 cents each. Best of all they seldom cooked them all the way through so there was a raw center that made them oh so wonderful.

    The pop-up is a two-day event at a restaurant called OverEasy that seems to focus on American-style cuisine: steak, “Americana milkshakes” and now mass incarceration. There is a reservation page set up on a website called Chope, but in case it should disappear, here is a screenshot of the description

    The website should be titled NOPE instead.

    I know someone who’s in prison (for non-violent drug offenses), so maybe I’m just humorless about the situation right now. But JFC, this is incredibly offensive and I can’t believe there’s anyone out there who thinks that this is a good idea.
