      Of this I have no doubt. I’ve been working for politicians for a long time, and I promise you the first time Trump has to sit through a three hour meeting over the budget and projected forecasts is the day he quits politics.

    I think he means that the President is exhibiting nuanced, sophisticated messaging about a complex topic: recognizing the danger of painting an entire religion with a broad brush, risking further alienation and radicalization of an oftentimes marginalized cultural element.

    Or maybe it was a racist dogwhistle. Those are the possibilities I see.

      They already have this concept down pat though, you’ve seen it.

      Obama is lazy, stupid, dope smoking guy that can barely speak without a teleprompter, he never works, he only plays golf and the rest of the time is off on jaunts to Hawaii.

      At the same time, he is an evil megalomaniac plotting to take your guns, has led a double life hiding his birthplace, his religion, etc. He is single handedly dismantling America and just around the corner he will suspend elections.

      It doesn’t have to make sense.

      Everyday I am more and more dumbfounded by it. It is unthinkable to me and I absolutely refuse to normalize this. I can only hope that the vast majority of people in this country have the same visceral, nauseous rejection of Trump I do. I want to believe that most of us recognize that Trump represents a deadly serious affront to the very idea of America. He is the antithesis of everything we were taught as children represents a good and decent citizen and human being.

      If the majority do not feel this way, we are truly, truly fucked.
