I wonder how many Trump supporters would even be able to spot that Afghan isn’t a country.

OK, I hate Trump with a passion, but is that actually a lie?

“The only reason the killer was in America in the first place was because we allowed his family to come here.”

I understood it as “If his family wasn’t allowed here, the killer wouldn’t have been born in this country.”

That wasn’t the lie. The lie was that the shooter was born in ‘Afghan’.

That’s the funny thing about lies, they often live among truths to disguise themselves.

No, he was born “an” Afghan. It’s obvious where his allegiances have lain for quite some time. Duded cheered 9-11 when he was in high school. Nice try tho lame stream media.

I dunno. That shit seems very intentional. It exactly bolsters his previous argument about a ban even though it’s not true and wasn’t even written into his script. He knew what the fuck he was doing and doesn’t care.

I think Trump misspoke; in context it is clear that his point is that the shooter wouldn’t have been in America if his parents hadnt been allowed into the country.

This is actually even more reprehensible though, since he is implying that we should ban people from moving here because their *children* that they may someday have might turn out to be murderers.

Trump is making a compelling case about why his Prussian great-great grandfather should not have been allowed into the United States. One long line of scammers and liars.

      Sad!

The logic of his argument is basically “let’s retroactively blame immigration for every act of violence in this country,” regardless of when or why it happens.

I knew a guy, devout Christian, who whenever someone brought up Dubya’s poor control over the English language, would claim that Dubya was “speaking in tongues” and his speeches contained secret messages that could only be understood by the faithful.

I asked him if he could tell me what the secret messages said, and he said yes, but only if I went with him to church, which I politely declined because I’ll only go so far in the name of social science research.

Funny thing is the guy suddenly stopped being religious a few years later and is perfectly normal now!

I think this is probably just him misspeaking - “born in Afghan” doesn’t make any sense. Trump’s a reprehensible shitbag, though, so I wouldn’t put anything past him.

He probably meant to say “born an Afghan”, which is only a little bit more coherent. He’s trying to make the sort of arguments made about second-generation Japanese-Americans in WWII, but is mostly failing because he keeps going off-script into that stream-of-consciousness thing he always likes doing.

Nobody cares. His fans don’t give a shit because that’s exactly the narrative they want to hear and he knows that. Nobody is gonna call him out and he’s never gonna correct himself or apologize for anything.

They want the narrative to be another foreigner muslim who killed people. Just make sure to not mention they were gay cause lol who cares about the gays amirite? Just say an Afghan terrorist shot up a “nightclub”, that’s it.

Who cares about his “fans?” Every politicians has fans. Bernie Sanders has unmovable fans. Hillary Clinton has fans. It takes more than your base to win a presidential election.

Why do people keep trotting out whether or not his fans are moved by something? If they are already with him, who the fuck cares?

I’d like to know where Donnie was when this shooting went down. Based on his behavior and comments he’s a suspect IMO.
