    Great! We can spend the next week now pretending that there is no problem in Islam (because the crazy Christians do it too!) Except, they don’t. They deny us our rights, or try to but they don’t kill us but hey, thousands of honor killings every year, the execution and jailing of gay people in Islamic countries and the authorities looking the other way when we’re murdered in the street like dogs even in “liberal” countries like Indonesia is EXACTLY the same us Kim Davis denying me a marriage license.

    Fuck this world! About time the gay community realized how fragile our hard-won rights are, even in the U.S. and Europe and that if our fellow progressives have to eventually choose between guarding our rights and political correctness, they just might not side with us. Look into how terrified a lot of Gay and Trans men are in Europe right now.

      Really, I don’t blame the parents because lots of decent people who by all accounts were good parents ended up with monstrous assholes. That said, the father could perhaps not make statements at this point. Because that sounded awfully like a justification.

    Guys, I think we have to shut this whole thing down until we can figure out why men can’t emotionally handle the responsibility of owning firearms or interacting with their fellow human beings. It should be okay to bar men from safe spaces like bars, movie theaters, airports, grocery stores, zumba classes, etc.

      You do realize homophobia is pretty prevalent among non-white Muslims too, right? The commonality is not that he, as an individual, has homophobia in common with white Christians, it’s that all the Abrahamic religions (and most of the others) have homophobia baked into them.
