She’s been cast in Moana, which Lin is also writing the songs for, so she has that going for her.

I’m never gonna see the original cast no matter how often I enter the lotto so I hope to GOD they film it and put it on PBS or something just so we can all see it.

Here is Phillipa Soo, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Jasmine Cephas Jones performing feminist quotes:

Here’s a feminist quote...how about this site give a little ink to any other piece of New York theater besides Hamilton? I saw Bright Star this week co-written by noted woman Edie Brickell and featuring an outstanding performance by the lead actress Carmen Cusack...I get that Hamilton is great but how much more press does this show need?

    Sigh.

“Burn” and “Helpless” and “Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story.” She’s not my favorite character (it’s Angelica ;) ) but she sings many of my favorite songs and they all make me cry.

I had the extreme good fortune to see the show in April, with understudy Alysha Deslorieux standing in for Philippa Soo, and she was amazing. I hope she gets the permanent role.

I don’t blame cast members one bit for being ready to leave. They do, what, 8 shows a week? Keeping that up for a year is rough, and playing the same character and experiencing the same emotions every night can be brutal. Sucks for people who have tickets for after July and were hoping to see her and Miranda, but I wish them all the luck in the world.

They’ve actually been doing it for 2 years as they were also in the cast at the Public Theatre.

Excellent news. That should lead to so many cancellations that we’ll all be able to get tickets now.

Though I’m bummed that the original team is starting to filter out, maybe the Hamilton cast’s success will lead to more stage actors getting a chance to get on our big and small screens.

I was fortunate to see the original cast in February - just because I managed to get tickets when the show was first announced last year - I’m more a history buff than a Broadway fanatic but I loved the sound of it.

She was excellent, but honestly I thought Daveed Diggs just stole the show. He was incredible. I know he’ll move on at some point and that will be a very bad day.
