Now, I’m not one to put down cake, and that looks like a fine cake. But in this case, I have to say, I think it’s the frosting that looks like hair. Maybe a little too much.

Singer aside, Galvin’s comments about Haynes were atrocious. That was some of the most tone-deaf, immature crap I’ve seen come out of a gay celebrity’s mouth in ages.

Haynes is 27 (almost 28). Galvin is 22. That’s a lifetime of difference in terms of LGBTQ acceptance in the U.S. Galvin has no business criticizing any of the rest of us gays for when and how we choose to come out.

      Seriously, fuck him.

Horrible. Also Haynes broke into the business playing a supernatural/action bro-Y character in 2 major shows. Someone who is pitched as a heart throb to teen girls coming out as gay is a different situation than a kid who is playing a gay kid.

      ETA: his response

He talks a lot about struggling with depression and anxiety over work and coming out, too. Ugh I hate this interview.

“It’s unclear why exactly Vulture decided to take the rather extraordinary measure of deleting a celebrity’s already-published on-the-record answer to an interview question...”

It's not unclear at all. Singer threatened a defamation suit unless they pulled the offending quote, so they pulled it. Gawker desperately needs to hire some writers who understand the legal world.

It’s pretty obvious but I don’t think they can allege that without some direct evidence.

What I don’t understand is how this demonstrates that Galvin has anything to hide (first para, “The story was headlined “Noah Galvin Has Nothing to Hide,” which turned out to be very much untrue”). It may demonstrate that Singer does!

But would Singer actually sue? Considering the mountain of circumstantial evidence against him, I can’t see him exposing himself to the discovery process a lawsuit would bring. Also, Vulture is buffered by the fact that they’re merely running a quote from a public figure who is reliably a part of as he put it, “the gay LA scene.” Retracting it for fear of a lawsuit seems unlikely.

His comments re: Colton’s “soft” coming out were sad and pathetic, but the worst part was that he didn’t say anything that I or my gay friends wouldn’t have said at that age... Now I’m realizing how ridiculous I sounded! It’s sad how quick we as a community are to judge others sometimes.

I used to have the same attitude of “what do you mean you think you’re gay? You’re clearly a fag!”. Which is a terrible attitude, coming out means something different to each person, just like being gay means something different to each person, and everybody comes out in different ways. If you want to come out with a parade, go head gurl! And if you wanna just do your thing and let everyone around you figure it out themselves, that’s fine too!

I personally think Colton’s uneventful coming out was a good thing for the gay community. It means that coming out isn’t such a thing anymore, there’s no need for it to be the big deal like it once was. It means that we can just casually live how we like, do our thing, love who we want, and everyone around us just says “yea, ok, whatevs”. Just like straight people, they do their thing, love who they want, and everyone around them is like “yea, ok, whatevs”, no need to announce their orientation, no need to come out.

I’m assuming this Noah kid is just too young and immature to understand that.

For me, it was really interesting to see how good Noah is at playing his character and his role in The Real O’Neals - Kenny is introspective, intelligent, and mature; unfortunately, Noah doesn’t come off this way in this interview, at all. I know it may be harsh to say that based on a sole interview, but I am honestly disappointed to have had such a cracked window with which to peer into Noah’s personality.

While I liked most of it, the stuff about Colton Haynes was uncalled for. Everyone can come out at their own time. Also the stuff about the actor who said he “goes with the flow” in terms of his sexuality, and how Galvin thought he was stupid was pretty ignorant as well.

Bryan Singer is a rapist, I am having a hard time understanding why this is such a hard concept to grasp. Call me an SJW, but whether the charges are dropped or not, It is well known Singer likes underaged guys.

So, have no idea who this kid is, but read what he said about Haynes and Stonestreet. I guess I can kind of see where he’s coming from with the Stonestreet comment; it’s kind of what I felt about the Cleveland Show. The Haynes comment, though, was just straight-up dickery. Like who the fuck is he? The King of Coming Outs or some shit?

I think Haynes handled it well; the kid needs to start grow up, because that was some immature bullshit.
