What made it even worse was when Perkins made a comment about how his yacht tore through the Frenchman’s boat “Like Blitzkrieg through the Maginot Line.”

The quote or the Blitzkrieg through the Maginot.

Not sure of the actual Maginot Line but the millionaire didn’t say that

Oh, no, if even billionaires can die, what hope is there for the rest of us poor folks?

At least my idiocy will live eternally on this website.

Oh no! Who is left in Silicon Valley to make monumentally stupid statements about how unfair everyone is to the tech industry’s worst people?

🤔🙄😏🤗 Well, I may be worrying for nothing, now that I think about it.

Maybe his demise was painful and unfair. Not hoping for it, just saying maybe. I mean, look, God’s own beer hall putsch catches up with us all eventually. Even demented dipshits like Tom Perkins, who is now in that great pancake house in the bowels of the earth, where I hope they’ve permanently run out of syrup.

Dayam, Sam! What a wonderfully brutal headline.

    ETA:

Perkins, whose namesake venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers has become, you might say, the Harvard of Silicon Valley VC firms (or at LEAST the Cornell)

Shade flowing in all directions and I love it.

At least he had the satisfaction of knowing that he survived that horrible Holocaust when the 1% was mildly villified and called names a couple of years ago. What a brave, brave man. Who was the Schindler-like figure who smuggled him to his yacht so he could escape the terror? Was anyone ever recognized for their heroism?

OK, that’s not a sailboat. It’s a very elegant teratoma in the shape of a sailboat.

Seriously, the Windstar Cruisers look was nicer than that!

Taos Brett IV almost cleared Mariette’s bow, avoiding a direct hit.

His ship, the Maltese Falcon, was “as long as a football field, forty-two feet wide, twenty feet deep, with three masts each soaring nearly twenty stories toward the heavens...

If his ship is the Maltese Falcon and the Taos Brett is the ship that sank, what is the Mariette? And how is a massive Death Star boat competing in the same race as a little sailboat? So many questions raised.

The Mariette was the racing schooner that sank the Taos. The Maltese Falcon is twice as long as the Mariette, but making it seem like a bigger yacht took out that Frenchman probably makes for better copy.

The way this piece is written, you’d think the Titanic steamed over a rowboat.

You have questions because the author didn’t make it clear (Intentionally, one would assume. Because Gawker.) that the massive boat was not at all involved in the death. But hey, if it fits the wanted narrative it’s all good in their eyes.
