Is it wrong that I have been taking some comfort in the thought that if Trump does win, Jared and Ivanka will probably be the ones actually running the show?

Not that I think they are particularly well-suited for it, but they both seem fairly smart and sane and liberal-ish and would probably rein in his worst instincts. “Daddy, I know the British PM gave you a funny look at lunch yesterday, but you can’t nuke London over that — my favorite scones are made there. How about we issue this statement Jared wrote instead?”

That’s a formula for alienating both parties. A president without a party is basically a dead man walking.

They will have to be running the show, as his onset dementia will most likely be full-blown by that point.

I have never in my life known a single “Jared” who was a decent human being. Not one.

Eh, the few Jareds I’ve known are pretty decent guys. One even grew up his beard out like Brian Wilson during his Giants heyday.

Yet another example of Trump’s poor decision making. In other news, he hired a painter as his dentist, and a political consultant to design his next building.

I bet Martin Shkreli is on his VP shortlist, if only to get his tiny, withered, orange hands on that collector’s edition Wu Tang album.

Too late. Bill Murray and The Clan stole it back from Shkreli. At least that’s what I read somewhere.

I’m glad this candidate who “thinks like we do” isn’t packing his staff with a bunch of wealthy East Coast types.

He might as well just change his campaign slogan to “Oligarchy 2016!”. Stacking your staff with unqualified family members and friends is basically the cornerstone of Putin and Co’s political philosophy.

“Forty of the 44 political contributions made in his name between 1992 and 2004 went to Democrats...” Jared was born in 1981. He was making political contributions when he was 11? Damn. What was his allowance?

Well, “made in his name” sounds like his father wanted to donate more than the personal maximum and so had his kids donate.

“He has a beautiful, brilliant wife...these are all values that contradict the negative image put forth by the Republican Party as New York values. He has the values that the Republican Party espouses.”

Including that as a core value of the Republican party pretty much says all I need to hear about their thoughts on women.

Ok, seriously, how does Trump have any credibility at this point when he says he’ll hire the best people to make up for the fact that he obviously doesn’t know anything or have any experience in anything related to politics or governance? His campaign is an infighting clusterfuck of nepotism and cronyism. He’s shown no evidence whatsoever that he’ll either hire or listen to the “best people:” most of the people he hires are useless, and when someone in the RNC forces him to hire people who know what they’re talking about, he ignores them or directly undermines them.

Then again, how he has any credibility at all when half of detritus that tumbles out of his word-hole directly contradicts the other half is a mystery as well. Good Lord, what a disaster.

I’ll say it again: don’t fuck this up, Hillary.

How is this a thing? When you work for white bread toast smothered in dingleberry jam aka Donald Fuckstain Trump, you can’t possibly be baffled by what he does.

If Trump named a huge jackolantern as his secretary of agriculture, his staff should just be excited that it somehow relates to agriculture.
