You just can’t help but laugh at how bulletproof you get to be once you get to a certain level politically. Anybody below her level would have already started their lifetime stay in a windowless cell if they pulled the shit she’s pulled. But once you get to that level, fuck you can do any god damn thing you want.

Her imaginary crimes alone are worthy of the death penalty.

Oh, I don’t know about all that. Mostly interested in her actual crimes, which you’d have to be deaf, dumb and blind to miss when her own former department called her out on it.

The real story in all of this, all along, has been the sorry state of government records management programs. A lot of agencies and offices simply don’t have the capacity to do it because they don’t have the budget to employ enough (or any) of the trained professionals necessary.

People want access to government records, but they don’t want the government to be able to fund appropriate records management - so they wind up pissed when the government can’t respond to their massive FOIA request quickly.

It’d be a lot easier if all those records were in the same place like, say, a State Department email server.

I assume because she was on 2400 baud...

Seriously, though. Unless her unsecured server is the reason the first four episodes of season 5 of Game of Thrones leaked early, why are we still talking about this?

    I’ll take my answer offline.

I would actually love an investigation and it to turn out that over 75% of them are cat pictures

Oh I don’t know… maybe because this was the last guy in the Oval Office with a penchant for withholding and destroying government records to conceal his activities in office?

It’s a fishing expedition, just like the other 75 Clinton investigations launched by Republicans and usually paid for by taxpayers.

And yet if the state department asked for more money to, I dunno, more quickly respond to FOIAs, republicans would snub their noses.

I love how Gawker took forever to post the big news of the night (the first woman presumptive nominee), hid it within a lame Martin O’Malley story, then quickly bumped it down the page with a Deadspin piece and then this bullshit article.

Congrats Hillary Clinton on breaking a glass ceiling tonight by being the first Democratic woman candidate for president. Apparently, it’s NBD, not historical, nor worth writing about.

You’re right, transparent government just isn’t that important. Also, the fact that the “presumptive nominee” for the democratic party is still involved in an FBI investigation in a year when the alternative is Trump is just not that important. Does it not concern you that this bit of news may be the life or death of the democratic party in the general? You people voted for her. You can’t winge now about how the entire election cycle will be about Hillary’s emails and not about how to move forward as a country (assuming that some sane person or act of god doesn’t come along between now and then to wipe this awful liability of a candidate off the ticket).

Or vote for Jill Stein, which is what I will do if Sanders doesn’t win the nomination. I just don’t vote for Nixon-esque homophobic jerks who want to poison your water with fracking runoff. Neither Trump nor Clinton deserve your vote.

Y’all couldn’t even report on the major news story of the evening that was positive towards Clinton.

“F***! They’re saying Hillary clinched the nomination. Damage control... damage control... I got it! Let’s write an article about it, but spin it as some vague joke about Martin O’Malley. That way we don’t have to say something nice about Hillary! Then we’ll follow that with the umpteenth story about her emails.”

    “Journalism” at it’s finest.
