22 life year sentences but could be out in 25 years.

    He’s 30.

I guess I should be glad he’s serving any time at all.

Why do I have to be disappointed on a daily bases?

    Goodnight.

How can you be sentenced to 22 life terms and get out in 25? What is that shit? I hope he gets aids in prison.

In a general sense, it’s abhorrent that someone could commit this crime and not automatically get life without parole. But I have a feeling that any parole board 25 years from now would take one look at the crimes and slam the “rejected” stamp on his application so hard it would break the table in half.

A big thank you to the investigators who had to sort through the “evidence” to get this monster locked up.

I have no confidence with men, yet somehow I’ve refrained from becoming a serial child abuser. This asshole should do the world a favor and go play in traffic.

So glad I refilled my wine glass before reading this. And look, it’s time to get another. :(

Good god. I hope he never gets out and his dick gets cut off. I wouldn’t even mind if he lost some fingers too.

I’m watching my sweet 5 year old be a ‘worker guy’ out my window. My brain cannot wrap around someone committing that kind of horror against him.

      his dick gets cut off.

Your rage is totally understandable but (chemical) castration doesn't work to inhibit their desire for children. Like all sexual proclivities, such as zoo- and necrophilia, it's all in the head and I doubt we'll introduce the guillotine any time soon.

Oh I know it does nothing to stop the urge. That’s why I threw the loss of fingers in there. But yeah, I’m not a violent person and definitely have my reservations about how we handle the death penalty here...but in this case, fucker needs to die and I would never apologize for feeling that way.

On some of his posts on the dark web he claimed something so vile about the things he did to those children that I wish I hadn’t read it. It’s the same way I feel when I was looking up something on Wikipedia and read about the different classifications of child abuse in the UK.

Can we contrast the way his parents reacted though with the way that asshole Stanford student’s dad reacted? Originally he was given bail on the condition he stayed with his parents. A day or so after that happened he confessed to his mother that he was guilty. She called the police and basically told them to get him the fuck out of her house, which is why he’s already served well over a year in jail while waiting for his trial. His parents then both made witness statements for the prosecution. I sincerely doubt they suddenly stopped caring about their son after thirty years, but they were capable of saying that he has done something terrible and he deserves to be punished for it.

Whereas Stanford dad seems to be treating the rape as something which has happened *to* his son, rather than a decision his son made to do something bad.

I didn’t know that. It’s very interesting to me how parents of violent sexual criminals react. On the one hand, you have this man’s parents, or Adam Lanza’s dad, who gave this fantastic interview: http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2014/... and said that he regrets his son’s existence. I think I would be like them. I think I would personally feel responsible for having put someone on this earth who made it so much worse, and want to take them off of it. On the other hand, you have people like Stanford dad, and also the parents and girlfriend of Holtzclaw who said that he would never do the things he was accused of, because he could get “North side girls” if he wanted to. These people draw their own sense of self-worth from their attachment to the strait-white-male they’ve produced/married and view his female or black victims as subhuman obstacles to their family’s social ascendancy.

He had the gall to say he was immature and didn't understand that what he was doing was wrong. And yet, he wrote a how to for pedophiles and posted abuse photos for his dark web buddies. But he was just immature. Rot in hell.

When society holds him accountable, apparently. He went on about how there were no consequences so there was no reason to stop. I have to admit, it would have been awesome to be one of the people to meet him at the airport and arrest him. To see that fucker's face when he realized he was caught...He's a dead man in prison, unless they put him in solitary for his entire 25 years.

He will. The possibility of parole in cases like this is just a legal front. He won’t be getting out anytime before flying cars and moon shuttles. Chances are he will die in prison.

There is absolutely no chance he gets out in 25 years. This type of sentence is completely unprecedented, and designed by the judge so that he never breaths a free breathe.
