They might be. You’d never know it because Trump and his people might, just might, say something interesting, so the media can’t look away.

Hey now, it’s tough eating out at Per Se each night, competing in weekend horseriding competitions in NJ, vacationing in Tahiti annually and sending the precious little angels to boarding school on just 500k a year.

I know right? NYC and places like Silicon Valley are infuckingsanely priced. On my salary, I doubt I could afford to live in a cardboard box.

I wonder if the Trump articles would be totally awesome if Caity Weaver were still here and wrote all of them? I bet they would! I’m gonna pretend that I live in a world where Caity Weaver wrote all the Trump articles for Gawker and they were all totally awesome!

    Estimated market value $5,201,450

BULLSHIT, BULLFUCKING SHIT! Listen I get that properties are often not at fair market value as far as appraisals but $5.2 million dollar assessment for his penthouse? You have to be fucking kidding me, at the extremely low end it has to be worth at least 10 times that.

I don’t know how NYC does assessments, but many municipalities don’t do new assessments every year but only when the property is sold. That’s why an assessment can be much lower than the market value of the property.

And even the market value estimated by the City may not match the actual market value. In Pennsylvania, the estimated market value is just the assessed figure multiplied by a number that varies according to the municipality, e.g. a property with an assessed value of $100 that’s in a county with a 1.5 multiplier will have an estimated market value of $150.

The assessment of his condo is based on comparative rents in the area. So, its not an actual market value of what he could sell it for. It implies a value of rental income. Probably about 30k a month in rent. Still, that value would be low considering its a 30,000 square foot penthouse on Fifth Ave and 57th street.

Trump’s lifestyle is weird even for a rich guy. He lives and works in the same building owned by his corporation. AFAICT all his personal residences are actually owned by his corporation. This is why he gets audited every year. The “home office” is basically an automatic audit for anyone.

Anyway, since his company covers his housing, food, air travel and even makes his suits, it seems quite possible that he has no regular income at all.

Donald Trump probably set it up that a shell corporation gets all the money he earns, and that same or other shells buys and pays for his stuff. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets the EITC.

    Kind ironic.

Trump is probably not really a billionaire.

And Hilary has had to work to support her family ever since her husband lost his job and was evicted from their home in 2001.

Exposing all the hypocrisy and obvious grifting and BSing in the world still won’t convince 30% of the electorate to change their minds about him. Some people’s standards are just that low.
