Wow, that picture is incredible. That is simply a savage beating. I was going to make a dumb Real Housewives joke, but that’s just too horrifying. Dude needs to go to jail.

      *reads lawyer’s description of assault*

      *assumes it’s hyperbolic lawyer-speak*

      *scrolls down to picture*

      *jaw drops*

Yeah, I have no idea how that is misdemeanor assault and not felony assault...

I’ve seen way worse misdemeanor assaults. And in California, you can pretty much get your felonybreduced to misdemeanor after 3 years which is infuriating.

      Because violence isn't serious apparently.

WTF? How do you wrap your head around somethinglike that? What a guy. I hope she gets a huge settlement and the guy gets the maximum sentence. That level of violence is disturbing to put it mildly. The guy is a danger to society.

Horrible. I get so angry when I learn about incidents that could have been avoided with a proper background check. While I understand wanting to give a chance to people and allowing them to redeem themselves from incidents in their past, I have too much experience with repeat offenders doing terrible things (pedophilia comes to mind in TWO separate occasions - I worked in social services at the time) because a proper background check wasn’t performed in the interest of “fairness” (often laziness).

ETA: I mean violent or sexual offenses - petty theft or drug use isn’t what I mean in these cases.

I’m not sure if she can hold Beautique responsible as it doesn’t sound like it was in the bar but rather on the street. Still though, how horrible. If I were her I’d be trying to sue EVERYTHING for getting beat up like that.

Edit: I hadn’t realized the manager was likely getting drunk at the spot while working so yeah then she def has a case.

Considering that piece of shit manager must have gotten drunk at his place of employment, I’d say this poor woman has a strong case.
