    A) I love Veep beyond the telling of it. I went back and rewatched all the earlier seasons to get ready for this season, and I couldn’t believe how many brilliant little asides I’d missed the first time around. How can you not love a show that gives you lines like, “Joke’s on you, Dan... I fucking love burritoes”?

    B) I kinda sorta maybe might have started slashing Jonah and Dan in my head. I don’t know how it happened! Don’t judge me!

He’s a character I always wanted to bang.

The size of him, the gawkishness, and sheer gormlessness combined with him being annoying as fuck, is some sort of sick aphrodisiac for me.

It’s not the actor I want. It’s the character. That’s a hate fuck I’d ENJOY.

Iannucci is flat out brilliant. I am so surprised by the greatness of Veep because I incorrectly assumed that type of meanness would not translate to funny with an American audience.

Iannucci’s The Thick of It is pee-your-pants funny, as is the film In the Loop (which includes some of the same actors as Veep):

I haven’t gotten my act together to suss out “The Thick of It” yet, but I’ve probably watched “In the Loop” 15 times now that it’s on Netflix. I wish I was brave enough to make “Fuckity bye!” my go-to way to end a phone call.

I think it is a testament to the cast, writers, and producers that even though he left the show, it is still a fantastic comedy.

Lately I’ve been preferring the Veep part of my Sunday to the Silicon Valley part. SV is funny but sad/heartbreaking (except for Big Head who can’t stop failing upwards) and Veep is funny and mean. I can handle the mean more than the sad.

I think Big Head’s run is over after this last episode, though.

I think the meta joke with Big Head is that the only thing in the world he has to do to be successful is stay away from Erlich.

This show has the most amazing insults ever. My favorite:

“That’s like trying to use a croissant as a fuckin’ dildo [...] It doesn’t do the job, and it makes a fucking MESS!” - Selina

And the one liners, holy moley:

“This isn’t a choice, like my diet—it’s a necessity, like my drinking.” - Ben

After Jonah claimed to be the Michael Jordan of something (recounts?), and Amy said that Jonah wasn’t Jordan, he was instead “a 7-foot-7 goony-looking Lithuanian who is going to drop dead of Marfan Syndrome.”

      So mean but hilarious.

My favourite: “Don’t give me that Quaker-in-a-titty-bar look.”

Also: cunt-gate was THE best episode every. The final moment when Selina says, “Have you found out who called me a cunt yet, HAVE YOU??” and then, “It’s everyone, isn’t it?”
