Is it still domestic violence when they break up and he breaks into her home? I would imagine not.

Stacey, I have some good news for you. Even with all of the gun control you are supposedly against, you would still be able to have a gun! I know, it is so exciting. You know who wouldn’t be able to have a gun? Your abusive ex. Double win right there!

Exactly why I’m pro-gun and pro gun control. I’d have a gun. My abusive ex wouldn’t. Win win all around.

She also—as a mouthpiece for people who want black people dead, mind you—claims BET “shouldn’t exist” because black people get too much “for free,” on which she blames “inner city violence” while claiming to “not judge”:

    http://www.people.com/article/stacey...

Says the actress: “When you get stuff for free, you have no self-worth. When you have no self-worth, you become depressed, addicted and either abused or an abuser. This is what perpetuates the cycle of violence in inner cities. We don’t need free stuff. We need opportunities.”

“When I say there should not be a BET channel or a Black History Month, I’m saying we deserve more,” says Dash. “I just hope people understand that I’m not judging; I’m coming from experience.”

Does she count not being immediately killed by cops on sight as something black people receive “for free,” or is it the bullets?

Does she count a society that wants them all dead to be something they receive “for free”?

    Racist property and zoning laws?

Racist employers who automatically don’t trust them?

    The school-to-prison pipeline?

The politicians that refuse to listen?

    The police “black sites”?

The dead children in the street?

The cheering of white people over their bodies?

    Jesus Christ.

She just worked on a show on BET in the last few years, and did not respond to twitter requests to return the money they paid her, as I understand it.

I would love to smack the ever-loving shit out of her.

      Of course she didn’t.

I suppose she imagines her “success” on Fox is entirely her own doing, too.

Her betters would never use her as the punchline in their claims that they “Can’t possibly be racist, because they have black friends who agree completely!”

Or maybe she even finds being that punchline to be flattering.

This woman is trying to explain why she became pro right wing. Comes up with a horrific incident from over 20 years ago in a book she is selling and no one can ask for any proof or corroboration. She said she shot bullets in her house. Shooting bullets usually draws the attention of the cops. Then the nice black lady is arrested for shooting recklessly at her abuser. Thats how that works. There is a lady in Chicago under arrest right now for shooting bullets in the air after her boyfriend was shot and killed in the car she was sitting in with him and their kids.

Ok I totally hate this woman and everything she stands for...but this sounds awful and nobody should have to go through that, and at least knowing this gives me some perspective on why she’s so protective of gun rights. I absolutely don’t agree with her stance but I can at least get how that experience could lead you to that position. As opposed to most of the pro-gun people I know who just repeat over and over that it’s their right/don’t tread on me garbage lol.

But then I just saw someone posted links to other stuff in her book about trans issues and feminism and I remember that torturous oscars moment and I just wanna smack the shit out of her. Sorry girl, still hate you.

I know she says some awful things, but this is a legitimate point. Yes, we can argue about how everyone would be safer if nobody had guns, but there are so many women out there who have stalkers, protective orders against abusive exes, etc. Are we really going to tell them that a piece of paper is going to save their lives? That they are not entitled to have a gun for protection?

I’m not aware of any current or proposed gun control laws that would prevent her from having a gun.

Yeah but how would any of the regulation seriously proposed by anyone (waiting times, background checks, training, licences, assault rifle bans) have stopped her from owning a gun for protection?

I don’t have a problem with Stacy Dash buying a gun. I have a problem with mental patients and people seeing psychiatrists buying guns. We have a problem in this country with treating mental issues.

More than a quarter of Americans is estimated to have some type of mental health disorder. If you ban gun ownership in households where someone has a mental health disorder, I think there would be very few people owning guns, or a lot of people avoiding mental health care for fear of losing their guns. I would much rather see doctors be allowed to discuss risks of keeping a gun in the house with ALL their patients.

Also, people with mental illness are far more likely to be a victim of violent crime than the perpetrator.
