Okay, on a serious note (all sausage and meat jokes aside), being a vegetarian still provokes a weird reaction in the US. I’m in California, so it’s rare and muted, but back home in Michigan, people used to look at me like I’d confessed to being a communist or something. Maybe it has something to do with how meat eating is glorified in our culture (the prosperity doctrine? More manly? More “Western Civilization”? the “where’s the beef lady?” I dunno). But every four years you see politicians of all stripes chewing their way through the disgusting but obligatory corn dogs in Iowa and attending grillouts and pretending they’re having a great time eating unnutritious shit. You NEVER see a mainstream politician eating a kale salad with cashew nut dressing!

And it’s true, vegetarianism is probably more associated with the progressive movement.

I’d have to guess (and shamefully include myself, to some degree) that people extrapolate your decision to not eat meat (“eating meat is wrong”) to a general view of people (“people who eat meat are bad”) and conclude that you think they’re a bad person, and thus become defensive.

I think it has more to do with vegetarians, and vegans especially, being pretentious assholes. Wanna know how someone’s a vegan or vegetarian? They’ll tell you. And they won’t just tell you, they’ll also explain to you why their superior than you because of it. I know I’m casting a wide net here, as I’m sure a lot of vegetarians are not like that. Vegans on the other hand, they’re all like that.

I’ll never really understand why people care what other people eat. If anything vegetarians/vegans have the undeniable moral high ground considering how bad for the environment meat eating is. And I’m a meat eating hypocrite.

Your second sentence sort of really contradicts your first, while at the same time explaining why vegans/vegetarians are so goddamn insufferable.

      Well done.

My point is certain meat eaters get uber defensive about vegans/vegetarians being high horsey, even if they aren’t really. I know a ton, and non of them make a point of taunting it. They sometimes need to mention it so they don’t actually get meat in their meal. It’s usually touchy people like you that realize they have a point and get super defensive whenever the topic comes up.

Now I’m gonna have to carry bacon bits in my pocket for when I have to deal with vegans. “Pocket bacon!” to their protein-deficient eyes.

I’m just not sure how I’ll explain to people how I came up with the idea without looking like an asshole. You know what, never mind. People already know I’m an asshole.

You are going to smell like rancid bacon because you are too fucking stupid to avoid giving a shit about the food others eat.

You are proud of being an asshole because you are a tiny piss baby too scared to even crawl out of the piss puddle you’ve swamped yourself within. Have even the tiniest shred of dignity, you sad sack fuck.

Joke would be on you. Bacon bits are made of soy. They’d be like, “Cool, you’re a vegetarian too!”

Ok, you you you you you just don’t interrupt a screening of Rick and Morty. Listen to me Morty, you think vegans care if you throw meat at them? Like like they’re scared of it? No of course not they think people like you are idiots, which is lost on you because you’ve got*uuuuhp* this weird little idea in your head that meat is some kind of crucifix that wards off vegans or something.

Everytime Rick and Morty is mentioned someone has to do a post in an impression of the way Rick talks. We get it. He’s funny.

Being a Neo-Nazi in a country that was ravaged by the Wehrmacht always seems like an epitome of human dumbness to me. Then again the German Neo-Nazi party NPD has their party magazine printed in Poland (which is also a major producer of Nazi memorabilia).

Either Nazis are fucking dumb, or they have more of a sense of irony than we give them credit for. For the time being, I’m going with them being fucking dumb.

It’s not like attacks of ethnic minorities in Georgia were only committed by occupying Germans. The Pale was famed for its pogroms for decades, and local groups frequently initiated massacres of Jewish populations as the Germans moved in both to curry favor with the new bosses and just to exercise their newfound freedom to kill as many Jews and Roma as they wanted.

Also, the Nazis fought the Russians. Holocaust survivor testimony is often dismissed as Communist/Russian propaganda.

As we close out May, with right-wing populist and neo-Nazi movements around the world crawling out from beneath their rocks after a long slumber, 2016 truly is Springtime for Hitler:

To be clear, if your intent is to say that Atlanta is worse than the country of Georgia, then you also need a comma after Georgia. As it is written, you've got a statement that tells Atlanta that Georgia sucks more.
