I don’t know about this.....I mean, Emily Blunt is one of my crushes so I’d watch her stack bottle caps, but I’m not sure I could watch ANOTHER Mary Poppins type of movie even though she’s in it.

Now if it’s a dark and gritty remake, that’s another thing. Like maybe the last kids Mary watched died in some sort of chimney accident and she’s still haunted by their screams and gets drunk sometimes around the kids she’s watching now. Maybe she flies drunk one time and endangers one of the new kids and loses that job but has to prove herself by rescuing them from kidnappers who want information on where the chimney sweep hid all the loot he’d stolen over the years from climbing down chimneys and taking valuables.

I hate it already.

And I wasn’t even that in love with the original.

But, hey! Maybe they’ll modernize it and the mother will be arrested for inciting a riot and causing damage as a Suffragette and the father will lose everything due to bad investment, Poppins gets knocked up and abandoned by her chimneysweep, and the kids will be sent to boarding schools to get them away from their parents financial and social shame.

I’d watch that.
