      Russia now demands all social networking sites maintain data on Russian citizens in Russia, a regulatory step emulated by Brazil and most recently Iran. A huge data center is being constructed next to a nuclear power plant in Russia. The purpose will be to house all social networking, and even perhaps eventually the entire internet will be there and subject to censorship. Russia has also been tracing and in doing so threatening undersea trunk cables, the infrastructure of global WWW. with navy subs and ships. The idea, the plan is to minimally prepare Russia for a day when the real Internet will be turned off in Russia, perhaps even in some neighboring countries. And then a fake Internet will go online.
