    Wow. Holy fuck. I’m not gonna lie - Depp is the last celebrity person I would have ever thought capable of DV. That said, abusers can and do take many forms. I do wonder though if this behavior is a result of substance abuse.

      I have seen both men and women make questionable accusations of Domestic Violence against each other in the context of divorce cases. If she made the accusation that he gave her a bruise when he wasn’t even in town that does raise a credibility concern.

      Was it the first Pirates film where he jumped the shark and became a parody of himself...or was it earlier?

      I remember when that happened with Al Pacino in And Justice for All: the “YOU’RE OUT OF ORDER!!!” moment. After that, every film he appeared in included at least one signature bug-eyed, outta-control, Al-Pacino moment. I think we should start a list. I’ll start.

    I still remember Natalie Portman telling a story about how Winona Ryder gave her a letter apologizing for having to scream at Portman during their Black Swan scene together. Ryder said that her first boyfriend had been abusive and would yell and smash things in the heat of passion, and that it had really affected her negatively.

    I think people laughed that story off at the time as though Ryder didn’t understand what acting was, but hey — I appreciate someone who wants to make sure their co-workers are comfortable.

    Also, Ryder has also been quoted as saying Depp was her first boyfriend — and first everything else.

    So. Johnny Depp is probably a long-time piece of shit. Just sayin.
