    You would think that middle aged men with teenage children and middle aged partners with whom they were in decades-long relationships would stop marrying very young sexy women in the middle of their midlife crises. It’s so cliche that I can’t even wrap my brain around how anyone could be so stupid. This relationship was idiotic from the beginning. As for Amber, she’s seems really immature too, but it’s not going to be nearly such a big thing in her life- a bad, short relationship in her mid 20s with an attractive rich alcoholic. Oh well.

      Yes, it’s absurd. I really can’t understand it. I mean, surely if it was just dick wanting young sexpot, he could have found a fwb or a well-paid enthusiastic call girl. But no, he has to go and marry her! I mean, really, the delusion that a mid20s sexy girl is going to want to love YOU forever and ever, despite your baggage, your aging ass, your teenage family, your jilted partner, etc. It’s just such egotism and self-delusion, and yet middle aged men do it all the time. Have they forgotten what it really feels like to be 25?

    What is most confusing to me about this story is the stuff I remember reading a few years ago, about how Depp sent Amber flowers and poems every single day to get her back, how he built the same bar from that movie on the private island he owns and he named a cove in that said island after her hips or waist or something, I’m not sure.     So they’ve been together a year and a half, they were in a movie 3 years before they married, ... they were probably hooking up, a movie takes about a year to make and release, she was about 21 when they met? Yeah, it’s legal but there is a great age and power differential there, maybe she grew up, maybe the smell got to bad, maybe she decided she was worth more than being the trophy wife of a stinky, washed up hack.
