I'm genuinely surprised. Usually the rich & famous never see their day in court.

I’m skeptical, but hoping he gets his day(s) behind bars (preferably the rest of his).

Can someone explain to me what kind of homeowners insurance policy do you need to have that it pays out rape settlement claims? Am I the only one that finds that odd? Or did I misread or misunderstand?

They probably will. This is America! A rich and powerful man is on trial for rape, of course they’ll fuck it up. They’ll prosecute him like they prosecute killer cops, the entire trial will be about how unreliable the victims are, the prosecutor will make a show of it but in the end nothing’ll be done.

Well, the defense was already trying to muddy up the jury pool. They were screaming at the judge and claiming that no American should go through what Cosby is going through.

This is going to be a long and hard-fought trial.

Oh come on! Are you saying that it should be illegal to drug women and have sex with them without their consent?!

When did America become such a nation of prudes?

If convicted, I don’t believe he’ll spend a single day in jail. I will gladly eat my words if I’m wrong.

One of the guests on Larry Wilmore, when asked whether she’d rather he be convicted and go to jail but never admit guilt or never see a day of trial or jail time but admit he did it, voted for the latter. I 100% agree. If he admits it, the public opinion punishment will be far worse than any jail time. If he goes to jail, there will still be a lot of crazy people in denial who will consider him innocent.

Excellent. Tho I suspect the trial itself is the only consequence he will suffer. I hope the prosecution has a better case that in that Gomeshi (sp?) guy’s trial.

Good. I hope he continues to decay so that by the end of trial after he is (hopefully) convicted, he’ll be relegated to a prison infirmary to live out his meager days.

I hope the prosecution is thorough and well-prepared. I would not want to see another case lost because someone didn’t think to dot their i’s or cross their t’s.

I feel like a portion of my rage has transitioned to those who are still defending him to the death and proclaiming that this is all some elaborate scheme to ruin a good man’s legacy.
