Quite frankly, anyone who will be covering Trump’s campaign as if it’s a normal campaign I will have no interest in. So, here is hoping against hope she covers anything concerning him with the gravity it deserves.

Doesn’t her covering Trump now seem like a conflict of interest? She is suing his campaign manager.

Andrew Breitbart himself co-founded Huffington Post. Anyhow, HuffPost is so 2005. Their peak was when Robert Evans would drop in and leave columns. I had no clue what he was talking about but he was great. Since the merger with AOL and the obvious move to the center, not to mention merging AOL’s comments which read like a subgroup of Stormfront, they’ve been an afterthought. And, yes, the now infamous White Girls tweet.

“Did I write for HuffPo. Yes I did. Writing means never saying you can form complete sentences, which I do in away that reminds me of Ali MacGraw. There was one dame who knew how to fill out my column.

This one time, I said to her, I’m writing for thr HuffPo. She said, I thought you went to rehab. It was a sad end to our relationship. Do I regret it? I dunno. You tell me.”

Hah. You’re absolutely right. HuffPo is more “fantasy” liberal site than “famously” liberal site.

I knew Huff Po was going to whore itself out when Arianna hired an army of snot-faced journalism majors (today’s moderators are tomorrow’s journalists) to start monitoring the comments. Censorship was writ large. You could tell that she was grooming her ugly child, giving it the right finish so when prospective adopters came to look....

And the deepest cut? They groom and groom and stuff the comments section with a bunch of sycophants....and then they merge with AOL and its Confederate/Stormfront readership.

Speaking of Trump, Breitbart, and Fox News, remember how we all used to speculate that online comment sections were being overrun by right-wingers posing as “real progressives” who actually just want to divide the Democrats and drive down turnout, in order to help the Republicans...? And everyone used to laugh at how ridiculous that idea seemed...?

Well, as it turns out, it’s actually happening way more than anyone thought. There are whole areas of 4chan (and elsewhere) dedicated to coordinating it.

    http://occupydemocrats.com/2016/05/23/bus…

Recent chat logs have come to light which indicate that certain users of 4chan have been systematically targeting Democratic-leaning posts and social media users, inciting them with inflammatory material in an attempt to spur division between the Hillary and Bernie camps.

Pretty easy to spot they usually begin their sentences with, “I am/have been/will always be a Democrat/Progressive/Liberal/Bernie/Hillary supporter but....then cue words only someone who has never had a liberal thought in their life

It’s the same thing that happens with any kind of fanboy enabling system. Just look at the console wars, I don’t know how many PS4 “owners” I’ve seens on the comment sections saying how much they hate it or vice versa.

I have come to the conclusion that all pundits and “reporters” have no backbone and will report in the means that the owner of their souls requires.

To describe this election as “fascinating” is akin to someone with a terminal illness decsribing the disease that is killing them as “fascinating”.

That is true but also, I get the feeling that there really isn’t a lot of serious thought being given to just how fast the US is declining and losing it’s influence in the world by people in the media or just folks in general. If Trump wins, well it’ll just be four years and then back to normal. The USA will still be #1.

I’m pretty sure that if he wins, it will cause a lot of countries who currently hold $USD as reserve currency will lose faith in the US enough to start looking at other options (EUR, IMF mechanisms etc.). Obviously the country that could and should lose faith in the competence of the USGOV would be China. This faith has been waning for years and would be accelerated by a reality show president.

If that switch of reserve currencies were to happen it wouldn’t be back to normal after Trump’s term. It’d be over. The holdings of USD by foreign govs is the only thing propping the USD up now.

A Trump presidency could and should be the point at which the US hegemony goes down the shitter for good.

This is inevitable in the long term anyways, but Trump would put the foot on the gas and drive the whole process of decline just about as fast as it could go.

US influence and pre-eminence would be done.

      “Fascinating” stuff eh?

Arianna Huffington herself was a conservative gadfly up until the late 90s. Her ex-husband, Michael Huffington, was the 1994 Republican candidate for Senate from California and barely lost to Diane Feinstein.

Once again, a conservative finds that conservative principals are pretty terrible when they’re actually on the receiving end of them. I guess getting roughed up by a misogynist is easier than needing an abortion in Dixie or having a medical issue that’s not treatable under the for-profit healthcare system, so I suppose she’s lucky to have had such an easy conversion.
