I’ve just gotten into this show as I have an unjustifiable dislike for Patrick Dempsey. I know that lot of people are sick of it but I love it and hope that it sticks around for a few more years. A part of me wants to go back and start from the beginning but I just don’t like that dude.

Do it!!! It’s been a roller coaster ride but the saga that is Grey’s is a beautiful one.

I had actually stopped watching a few years back after the ridiculousness of izzy’s stupidity but I came back the odd time for Cristina’s departure and the plane crash, then Derek’s death.

Now I’m back to being a regular watcher. The season has been one of best in quite a few years

I’m sad to see Callie go, I always liked her

Anyone else finding Meredith utterly unbearable this season? Like every time she opens her pissy mouth, you just want to smack her? Just me? I almost gave up but I stayed for April and the baby. I might finally be done now.

I felt that way more about Callie this season actually. Just so selfish, such a stereotype of oh, I need to run after this person I just met, and I’ll figure out how my child fits in second. Meredith has been hit or miss, and overall the arc of her realizing that this person who annoys her so much is actually very similar to her rings true.

I actually found her (for like the first time) very relatable this season. Karev(sp?) who has been solid throughout kind of tanked this season IMO.

I've been a fan since episode one and will be loyal until the very end. While a few seasons have been more miss than hit, this season was top knotch. It definitely reminded me of the early days.

The episode where Miranda was swabbing those petri dishes was the scariest to me. On a show where anything could happen for a bit I thought she was planning a mass poisoning for the finale episode. I remember sitting here like fuck no this show is going off the rails.

Also how did she get from there, to treating a kid against his parents’ wishes, to being chief? She has made the least sense of anyone for a while there.

I’m sad and scared about what else is going to happen next. Plus poor Hodor.

I’m an avid Grey’s fan. Some seasons have been better than others.

I’m not surprised Sara decided to hang it up. I think it was a nice ending for Callie and she can certainly come back, obviously. I think with how dramatic other people’s exits from the show have been, it’s refreshing to see something low-key go on.

I genuinely can’t see Ellen Pompeo doing anything else. She’s effectively typecast herself into the character.

I read an interview with her where she said she wanted to retire from acting after Grey’s. Maybe that’s why she keeps going with the character.

So, yeah, Ellen P being “ready to re-up” might not be such a surprise, in that there are few good, lasting parts for women her age. Love it or hate it, but shows like The Good Wife, which showcase older (women) actors are few and far between. If it were me, I’d ride that hospital pony until it was lame. [I love horses and would never want anyone to abuse a horse. I am using this as a metaphor, nothing else.]

I’ve been binge-watching this on Netflix for a while starting from the beginning, and I have a total love/hate relationship with it as I’m constantly amazed at what good actors and actresses can do with this utter garbage material. (I am also a huge fan of Mireille Enos and I couldn’t get through 20 minutes of The Catch.) Meredith needs to get run over by a bus - she is completely insufferable - and it was a wise decision to reduce her role and make it more of an ensemble after season 1. I actually liked Katherine Heigl, Isaiah Washington, and TR Knight and was sad to see any of them go. I almost gave up after the ridiculous singing episode and I literally had to skip the fucking Christmas Carol “what if” episode, but I’m sticking through the whole thing just because, well, I hate not finishing things. Fingers crossed that it gets better!

I’m guessing Callie’s plane to NY is going to crash in the season premiere.
