It seems like they are trying to appeal to the TMZ crowd, which seems like a natural fit for the Times.

That’s exactly what I thought about as well. Harvey Levin should sue for something. And then the Times should feel bad.

Why do you think “pitching ideas on facebook in front of thousands” is something anyone would be jealous of?

      1) He or she doesn’t; it’s just a cheap shot, or,

      2) He or she would be, in the same position, and this post is merely projection.

So like all “reality TV”, in reality it was bad, scripted TV?

Yeah, there’s a HUGE ethical problem with this. Real reporters wouldn’t allow their sources to stage events and report it as reality. So why are real reporters staging an event and claiming it is reality?

Not all of it’s bad. “First 48" is an excellent show. A lot of it is scripted and planned but it can’t get in the way of the Detectives.

Martha Stewart’s FB Live garden tour inspired me to get off my ass and garden. Well, I plucked all the dandelions off the lawn, but it’s a start. She’s the same age as I am and gets more done in one morning than I do in a year.

Of course it wasn’t a real pitch meeting. No newspaper just broadcasts all its story ideas for other newspapers to steal, even if they are half-baked. Someone else could bake them!

“I’ve got one...what about a piece where the media shines a light on what a fool Trump is, while at the same time being self aware enough to realize that since his supporters don’t trust the media that there is really no point in reporting it.”

“And we can get Trumps name in the headline?”

      “For sure.”

      ”I like it.”
