You would think for 20 grand he would at least have to be shown drinking the protein tea shake shit.

I work as a social media manager and just spent 2 hours of my life talking to the manager of an Instagram influencer about a post. The issue was that the guy wanted 5k more to have the product (a chocolate bar) in his mouth instead of his hands. This is what my life is.

Ugh, I have bought a workout guide from a ~fitness guru~ which is absurd considering I already pay a lot of money for spin classes and boot camp and probably could have figured out how to do squats and lunges on my own.

For that amount of money, I would at least write a sonnet about the product. Jeez.

Snake oil doesn’t actually do anything for you. Now what you really want are these narwhal tears I just happen to have.

You mean this d-bag copy-pastes two Instagram posts and makes more than I make in a year working full time. And all because he knocked up the least famous sister of an untalented family of professional attention seekers?

I don’t know if the “#ad” part was required, but assuming it was, it was revealed either way. Could it possibly be that he’s being a smartass - taking their money and literally copy/pasting what they asked him to, to embarrass them? I doubt it, but if so, it’s more respectable than most!

Yeah, I caught that #ad part, too. Like if dumb-dumbs really thought he was just exciting to tell them about this new product he discovered that really gives it away. I also like that the caption assumes a toothy smile: “The Lord wanted to give you a smile today, thanks to @cocowhiteuk you got your smile! Cocowhite.com”, but he just has a closed mouth smirk.

most companies ask that influencers put “#ad” or “sponsored content” in their captions now to protect them from FTC liability after a few companies got in trouble for native advertisement campaigns.
