      Yep, for many reasons. 1) People of all races and ethnicities have large butts. Having a sizable ass is not a cultural trait that can be appropriated because it is a biological trait that is found across diverse populations all over the world. 2) Oakland is not synonymous with black. It’s a very racially diverse place. It’s just silly to think that any reference to Oakland necessarily means “black people”, and again, butts are not cultural traits. 3) It’s a fucking Sir Mix-a-Lot lyric. Come the fuck on. It’s a 24 year old song about butts.

    I immediately got the Baby Got Back reference, but that doesn't make this any less cringeworthy. I always thought that was a disrespectful line in the song anyway (like, women from Oakland can't have a pretty face? WTF), and it's extremely tone deaf for Blake to caption her picture using it. She's got to be doing this on purpose to get her name in the headlines, right??

    Questions!

    What was her face before the nose job? Isn’t that ass on a white girl more of a Calabasas thing? I’ve never been to California, but I used to go to Sydney’s premiere Jamaican dance party as my old roommate was the club photographer, I looked like Nicole Kidman’s ghost in the photos, how comfortable would I be in Oakland?

      Very comfortable. Oakland is the most integrated city in the United States. And the nicest, most social, positive vibe I have ever experienced, anywhere. Lovely people. Like the best part of the seventies: communal, friendly, people looking out for each other, and totally cosmopolitan. So nice. Really such a great vibe.

      I don’t think it’s the most integrated city in the country (I would certainly hope not) but it can be a great place to live if you have enough money to deal with the ever rising housing costs. Great lake, great food, Boots Riley and sunshine.

Be more careful: by recklessly throwing around accusations like this you do more harm than good to the cause of fighting racism - you make the arguments of anti-racists easier to dismiss as exaggerations or overreactions, its also a horrible thing to falsely accuse someone of.

      I prayed and prayed for a booty my entire pregnancy, it never appeared. My boobs didn’t grow either, but they’ve always been enormous so I didn’t mind. Really wanted a butt to even this shit out though.
